Lack of transparency on what happened…
Lack of transparency on what happened to equity held for more than 3 years and inconsistency in reality and what their portal shows. Zero documents or communication provided while every passing day resulted in more and more loss.

Nice idea but...
Nice idea but... Little information about the companies. Very high fee of 5%. Cannot invest in some of the listed companies, no idea why. Hold period 2 to 7 years which might be too long/risky for many. Minimum investment is $10k. Or sometimes more? Not sure, still many questions, and that leads me to the next point: The website is not very intuitive. Needs some time to understand how it actually works. Edit: Now, Equityzen wants my personal info, otherwise this review will be deleted. Great, trustworthy company...

No transparency and total loss of investment
I made a $20k investment through EquityZen. One day, I got an email saying all the investment was lost. There was no explanation or any documents provided. This company doesn't provide any transparency and don't invest your hard earned money through this platform.

Need more info on failed deals
EZ does not provide info on deals (historically to present) that were offered but did not go through. EZ should also let investors know that only a certain approx % of the funds necessary for the deal was raised. that is vital info, esp for private shares, so investors can be more educated and get a better understanding of price. we know some offers are ridiculously high - it happens often - and probably received little to no interest. why do they not provide that info, esp to loyal investors who have done deals with EZ?!! it only makes for more informed investors and a better service. EZ needs to change that policy and disclose more info asap! maybe your competitors will learn more quickly than you

More Phone Customer Support
guys, I need a real person to talk to on the phone. The delay of your support email is not efficient for investors who are looking to deploy capital.

Poor communication from EquityZen…
Poor communication from EquityZen regarding policygenius exit. I invested in Policygenius - Series 1247 fund and policygenius has been acquired last March and till date I have not received any information. I have sent several emails asking for details with no response or email with not much information. I will stop using this platform for future investments.

We are sorry to hear that you are not happy with the information that you have received from us. In regards to the Policygenius investment, while the acquisition was announced in April of 2023, it closed on November 11, 2023. The company was acquired by another private company, Zinnia, in an all stock transaction. There was no gain or loss recognized in this transaction and you now own stock in a subsideray of Zinnia. This information was shared with investors as soon as we had the information from the acquiring company. While information sharing may seem slow, we believe it's best to fully understand the details around mergers and acquisitions in order to share the most up to date and accurate information with our clients.

My money distribution for exited deals has not been sent yet
My money distribution for exited portfolio all the way back from 2021 i still pending. Several attempts to contact anyone or someone at equityzen has been in vain. I am left with no choice but explore legal or federal government options. Please DONOT invest with EquityZen!!!
