can't get a hold of anyone
bought some shares. no one answers their support email. no way to reach someone via phone whatsoever unable to liquidate quickly

they are so opaque about what happens…
they are so opaque about what happens to equity held for more than 4 years and not consistent reports on their portal and in reality are in contrast. do well to avoid. seeking "KVLC" here on TP became a game chnger. consistent payout is their forte

Customer service was horrible
Customer service was horrible, no answers or clarifications of any of my doubts, It looked like I was taking to Alexa BETA. My questions wasnt answered and I lost an investment because of this kinda of threatment.

Don't send random emails and when we enquire, you always say, offer is closed. Not even within 24 hrs. Waste of time.

Incorrect cost basis reporting
Overall a good platform. Bu they do not report cost basis correctly on exit to the broker where the shares are transferred, and that's a huge hassle to fix. Update: Upon connecting support the response was "That is the way we report it, I'm sorry. We understand if you don't wish to make any future investments with us for that reason." - this was after acknowledging that it's the wrong way of reporting cost basis and that cost basis should include Equityzen fees. Currently they don't report the 5% fee they charge in cost basis.

Equity Zen is a bait and switch…
Equity Zen is a bait and switch company. They say they have a company's shares, but then they say they're not available. Bait and switch! Then when trying to delete my account they make it quite difficult. A very cheaply managed company. Avoid!
