I have invested a lot in their ecosystem. One of their 5amp batteries has been overheating. I got through to their tech support quickly (surprising considering other comments). The woman on the line had me go through a number of troubleshooting tests. this included removing battery from charger, trying it on another piece of equipment. The list of tests got longer and longer and longer to the point i was like its clear its overheating just replace it! The battery is only 1 year old used a handful of times. she would not until all tests were completed. The last test was having me run the battery in my snow blower under no load which i could not do at the time so did so a couple of hours later. MISTAKE! took me 5 attempts and 2 hours of my life trying to anyone now on their tech support line. Now In a " we will review and get back to you" state. What does that mean!?? doesn't look like I get a replacement. Good product but their support is HORRID!! i will be selling all my equipment ASAP EDIT: finally got confirmation that they will replace the battery, i will not update, change my rating until it is in hand. This has been a horrible experience, I still do not Recommend! EDIT2: two weeks after promising they would send me another battery i called to find out where it is. they said it was not in their system, that i did not carry out all their tests (about 10 of them)correctly so they cancelled the order. This Company is A JOKE I have invested 1000's in their eco system. DO NOT BUY!!!! i cannot stress enough how bad the customer service is

Absolutely incompetent people that answer the phone for EGO Power. No clue what they are doing and simply not listening to the problem or better understanding the problem. Constantly being put on hold. Never another one of their tools. My 18" chainsaw oiler does not work at all and after 30 minutes on the phone NO RESULT and no service as I do not have a receipt for the gifted brand new $400 chainsaw!

Battery charger for leaf blower died in less than a year. We had purchased the blower, battery and charger on Amazon. Amazon is an authorized distributor but whoever our order went through on Amazon was apparently not. No way would we know that upon ordering. So EGO would not honor their warranty, despite it being a genuine product for which we paid full price.

Terribly slow customer service if you ever need it. Three weeks and counting to get a replacement battery charger shipped out on warrantee, tracking finally has it picked up after the label was created a week ago and will take another week to arrive, four weeks total. Last EGO product I will ever buy.

No stars. I have several Ego products. When there is an issue you are on your own. Absolutely horrible customer service. Blinking orange light on snowblower. No help. Closed for holidays. Well guess what. It’s been snowing here and need my snowblower to work. I have never written any review before. I called “customer service” a year ago also. A totally oblivious woman who knew nothing as her dog was barking in background. Again Zero stars.

1. Just learned the products are made in China. 2. Solar brick has been on back order since October. 3. Ego customer service is snotty, obnoxious, and non-responsive in answering whether the solar bricks are being manufactured, if they are on hand, or if there is a supply chain issue. You're dealing with a bunch of incompetent, irresponsible Millenials pretending to be managers in trying to get answers. They are NOT managers. 4. I've wasted so much time and resources in purchasing solar panels, cables, and setting up panel rails. I could just punch the EGO people and their Communist China counterparts in the face. They're all control-freak ingrates. I'm ready to send it all back. They deserve to go out of business.

I would give their products at least 4 stars. I would give their customer service zero stars. I’ve purchased 5 of their tools and was only disappointed with one. The backpack blower doesn’t perform as well as our lower rated, for power, old gas powered one. My issue with them is that I purchased all of these from an independently owned franchise of a large chain hardware store. Which happens to be owned by a personal friend. I knew he would gladly accept my return but I asked him to be honest on how my return would affect him. He told me his options were to sell it at a discount or return it to his distributor for credit. He told me it takes Ego 4 to 6 months to credit them back for a returned item. I contacted their customer service and explained that I’m not willing to place my friend in the position of literally giving an international corporation an interest free loan for that long. Their first response was to tell me that was too much information for me to know. I explained the situation and was told there’s nothing they can do because they only sell to distributors, which is common, but that they could do nothing because the excessive wait time was a distributer issue. And that there’s no way for them to control the actions of their distributers. And there’s no option for me to directly contact their distributers. Nor was there any way I could speak with their sales department, which is responsible for dealing with their distributers. This clearly indicates they neither care about the actions of their distributers or how their own distributers care about their end customers. Virtually indicating their lack of care for their end users / customers. The Ego supervisor I appealed to would not stop over talking me. When I asked her if she and / or the Ego felt this was acceptable, a simple yes or no question. She refused to give me that simple yes or no answer and repeated said I have no other options. Their products are great. Their level of care concerning their end user’s, more commonly called customer’s, public opinion and their public image seems nonexistent. They also have no care concerning the well being of their end sellers, my friend. In retrospect I should have never told their customer service department how satisfied with their products and that I had 4 other products they manufacture. They realized I was unlikely to completely change to another system due to the expense of replacing those 4 tools. They knew they had me “over a barrel” and they used that against me. Short version: products are great. Corporate concern for the end user, me in this case, is nonexistent. Their corporate morals are pretty low too. A 4 to 6 month interest free loan by a family owned retailer to an international corporation and / or their distributers is morally wrong, financially unreasonable and not acceptable.

bought their EGO 560 Blower. After one hour of use I was bragging to everyone about how much I loved it! Put this baby on Turbo and wow does it move a pile of leaves! In the second hour and after charging the battery twice the motor let out a high pitch very short squeal and the motor froze! I can't review the battery as the machine didn't last long enough to rate it. My suspicion is that the electric motor is either poorly designed or their quality control is bad. I have asked my supplier for my money back and they are sending me a shipping label and giving me a credit. If you want one of these you are accepting the risk. I was so happy for the first hour and one half that I was exploring the EGO site looking for more stuff to buy. Had this machine been reliable it might have been the best blower out there. I don't like reading that some people had battery issues but I can't fairly comment on that. I would have love to speak to an EGO engineer about that motor as I know a tiny bit about electric motors. That Turbo feature is really neat. But I suspect the motor simply is too cheaply made to handle it. I notice it is made in China and everyone knows their quality control is not always the best. So either the factory is an issue or the motor is a cheap motor and design. What a disappointment! For the first hour if was so fantastic!!
