EGOReviews of egopowerplus.com

Seriously feeling conned. The BATTERY LIFE on my ego strimmer in year 2 is down to about 7-10mins. Absolute junk, i bet ive charged the battery 25times from new and this is what im left with. What a con. Go look for reviews from the public, apart from here ego have been very clever in hiding them

Took delivery of a strimmer kit with charger and battery. Box arrived ripped and taped up with brown gaffa tape, opened the box and it looked like it was thrown in there, manual missing and bolts missing, emailed them but no response, called them, they said they would look into it and call back, they never did, I called back and was told they have been busy!! Said they will send the parts to me, still waiting Sh#te service from a big firm

Terrible customer service. Easier to return the items to lowes.

Been a loyal customer for at least 5 years. Everything is great until you have a problem. After waiting for customer service to answer, almost an hour and a half later, the lady was not concerned or helpful. My battery would not take a charge. She kept telling me it was the charger, had to prove to her with another charger, that the battery was defective. Her head piece kept cutting out and was blaming my phone for bad reception. Bought the hedge trimmer in May but the serial number indicated it was made in October the previous year. Was it my fault it sits in a store or at a wear house for 6 months? No help from customer service! Now I’m sorry I own 2 machines from EGO. I did find out that the battery warranty only lasts 3 years. Mine was 5 years old. 160.00 for a new battery on Amazon seems awful high! I would rather cut my loses and switch to a more reliable company.

A fuir impérativement! (parole de paysagiste pro)

I rang EGO's customer service department this morning (03/05/23 at 11.15am). To ask them why the UK website and 2023 brochure state the EGO Z6 52" Zero Turn lawn mower will cut 2.5 acres on a single charge (when paired with 6x12ah batteries) when almost all of the youtube videos watched... online articles read and EGO own UK dealer websites ALL state the mower will cut 4 acre on a single charge. A huge difference in anyone's book - and one that would make you buy... or not buy the mower. The frightening part being that if you'd bought the mower taking into account online information and that supplied by the dealers own websites... and you hadn't picked up the EGO brochure... and/or gone to the EGO website, you'd have bought the machine for £8,653.00 expecting it to cut your 4 acre lawn - only to find it run out of charge half way through cutting your lawn! Given the EGO is comfortably the most expensive (domestic) zero turn available in the UK and Not wishing to make a nine grand mistake, I called EGO direct... and posed to them the question ' which is right 2.5 acres or 4 acres. To my amazement the staff member answering the call had know idea and asked to put me on hold whilst he asked someone else the answer. He then left me 'hanging on hold' until such times as I gave up and put the phone down. Disappointingly (given all modern phone systems record incoming phone numbers ) he never bothered to call me back. I'll now save myself some £934.00 and purchase a John Deere Z530M instead.

Bought a string trimmer with battery, then an extra battery October 2022. Used them with no issues last fall and packed them away at the end of the season. Spring 2023 (about 3 months later) both batteries were dead. Wouldn't take a charge. After multiple tortuous calls to customer service they finally agreed to replace them. Waited two weeks, had to call back again, and no one had done anything. This time they did ship them. Fast forward to now (April 2023) and while using the string trimmer it just stopped. Battery charged, nothing jamming the head, it just stopped. After looking online it is apparently common for the string trimmer motors to just give out. Now I will have to spend more hours of my time arguing with their loathsome customer service to get a replacement, there appears to be no fix. Over $500 in "equipment" and none of it lasted more than 6 months with less than 25 hours of usage on any of it. My gut instinct was to buy gasoline equipment, instead I bought this junk and it is worthless. Don't waste your money.

T.T. 1 second ago I'm careful to read the directions & take good care of my lawn equipment. The battery & charger are kept in my house when the weather is cold. I've charged my EGO 7.5Ah battery about 84 times.( that's a High estimate because when it rains the grass doesn't get mowed till the next week) I only use the battery one hour a week to mow my grass.
