I purchased an EGO string trimmer from Lowes less than two years ago. It quit working. Hit the button and it would "twitch" but not run. I contacted EGO and told them I didn't have a receipt any longer buut they went ahead and sent me a new one. I got it this past April 17th of 2023, and now in the middle of December 2023, it is doing the same thing and this time they won't replace it. because they had replaced it once before without a receipt. That is OK. It's on me for losing the original receipt to start with. My fault. No problem. The thing I'm upset about is AGO has a problem with the motors doing this. It's happened to me twice, and I see on Youtube where the techs have affirmed that this happens quite often with the motors. So why isn't the problem being fixed PERMANENTLY ?? I really liked that weedeater when it was working but won't ever buy another by EGO and wouldn't advise anyone else to do so either.

I bought a blower 2 years ago and liked it so much I bought a string trimmer and a hedge trimmer. Now the battery that came with the blower won't work on turbo! They won't replace the battery because it works in regular mode and on the other 2 devices! The blower DOES work on turbo with one of the other batteries from the other devices! How is this NOT an original battery issue? Terrible service!

I am currently looking for battery powered tools for my 3 adult sons and I will not be purchasing any ego battery powered equipment for them due to my experience with the tools and the customer service for this company!

This smacks of built-in redundancy in the battery's control circuit. First battery (4.0AH) failed after just 12 months of use and two years of storage. A second battery (7.5AH) has failed after 3years and 3months of light use on a 80sqm flat lawn!!! The UK service centre no use whatsoever, a replacement would cost £349!!! It was explained to me that the battery was like paying for electricity up front, my reply was that I pay for the electricity when charging, the battery is storage!!! Also they do not repair or recycle (it would affect sales of new parts???) NOT VERY GREEN!!! They do however send batteries replaced under warranty back to Germany for repair/refurbishment, as they are paid to do this. Surprisingly bad company, part of Chevron Corp. would never buy from them again!!! Prospective buyers, you have been warned!!!

Worse customer service in the history of the planet. Will not back their products will do anything to get out of warranty If you purchase you deserve what you get after reading complaints

I called EGO on 11/13/2023 to get a replacement for 1 of my battery's after talking to the representative the warranty case was escalated and I was told a supervisor would call me, well it's 11/20/2023, and I've had 2 cases opened with EGO and I still haven't received a call or any answer when I will receive a replacement battery. Now when I look under customer service on my EGO account, I see case number 01891863 it states escalated to Zedd Supervisor? I have purchased 4 different tools from EGO and was planning on purchasing a chainsaw and a riding mower but that's not going to happen unless this issue is resolved quickly. I am very disappointed with EGO's customer service right now and will update any changes or lack thereof.

Battery died after one use and I have been calling Custmer service for weeks and either on hold for an hour or requesting a call back and never getting one. Haven’t been able to connect with anyone to help troubleshoot or replace the item.

Impossible to have someone answer the phone ..I got a notice that they had shipped a battery charger to me on the 31st of October .. it is now November 13th and no charger...the UPS number says a label has been created but when I try to track it it just says a label has been created I have spent hours on the phone tryimng to find out where the charger is ...BVUT no one will answer...this will be the last EGO product That I buy...
