I have had the exact same problem with customer "service" that all of the others have had. My battery died after one season. I was told, in broken English of course, that they would replace it, but they haven't. It's always a day wait for someone to call. Never buy an EGO product!

After a 2 hour and 5 minute wait someopne actually answered the phone. They stated they have approx. 4 hour wait for phone support and do not have email.. They tell you on hold that you need the battery but they say nothing about the charger, which really doesn't matter because what they ask you to do is borderline illegal and definitely unsafe. They tell you to charge the battery fully for 3 hours, then 'rig' the equipment so it stays on and drains the battery. Well I am trying to remedy my battery issue, and the last thing I am going to do is 'rig' my mower to stay on, with the blade spinning, just to kill the battery, which proves nothing since the battery dies after load in 10 minutes. Nothing they are requesting solves the issue of a bad battery. It does not identify the charging device, of which I have 4. The battery dies, period. Replace the battery. At this point I have no choice but to get an attorney involved and file a class-action suit against EGO for inferior product, improper warranty process for replacement, and placing consumers in unsafe conditions to 'prove' their product is inferior. Get ready EGO. Avoid the aggravation and replace my battery...it's your move.

In the past 4 years I have purchased an EGO lawn mower, two blowers and a string trimmer. Three of these I ordered with a battery. Of the three batteries two have now failed. EGO batteries are unreliable and I won't buy another one. I have a small yard so the EGO products are used briefly every couple weeks and they failed anyway.

I do not recommend this product. I bought it registered it and I am still fighting with them to replace the battery, but they say and what they do are two different things will not buy another one of their products.

If I could I would give this company a minus 100. I brought a string Ego trimmer several years ago. It had to be replaced. It is very difficult to thread. I was given the wrong trimmer. I have called Ego for help many times. The absolute worst customer service. They are rude, don't care and hang up on you. In 2021 I called them at least 10 times. I needed a new part. They said it could be a year before they would get anything due to the pandemic. They were not getting any products from China due to shipping delays. However, they had them in the stores, but would not honor their warranty. I recently called them to see if they gave you any discount or credit on a trade in. I can't turn the head to wind due to health issues with my hands. The cs rep laughed at me. She said we don't do discounts, coupons or trade ins. Then hung up on me. Two days ago I received a call from them. I called back but they have not called back.

I didn't realize that the problem with my trimmer was with the battery. I finally got though to customer service after many tries in their long queues! I was told to bring the trimmer and battery to my local authorized repair shop. I phone the repair shop and I was told they couldn't even look at it for 2 weeks! Well, they finally looked at it and said they couldn't find anything wrong with the trimmer or battery. For this I was charged $26.85. I took the tool home and found that there was, in fact, a problem with battery. I called Ego customer service again and asked to speak to a supervisor that was not available. They issued a ticket for a supervisor to phone me. She did and I explained the problem. That was 2 weeks ago. She sent me an email that said that I should reply only to that email. I have replied 4 times now and Dennaya, the "supervisor" has not gotten back to me on honoring the warranty and getting the battery replaced. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Had the mower one week and self propel stopped working. Didnt care as I like the exercise. Second season the mower worked every 3rd start. Called ego, got a warranty email and took it to repair center. Been 3 weeks and hasnt even been looked st. Customer service for Ego says nothing they.can do. So the machine I paid for doesnt work, the repair center is wayyy backed up and "oh well" is all I get. Will never biy from them again. They dont stand behind their product. Its their job to make sure their customers get good service. Telling me that they cant control the repair center is a cop out. They pick the repair centers. I have to pay for lawn care. Just going to buy another brand that I can make sure has good customer service and I guess sell this one. I would say STAY AWAY! I know I will never buy or recommend EGO.

My Ego trimmer came without screws for assembly and handle. I figured it would take a simple phone call to get a replacement set, but as it turns out I was soooo wrong. I was put through the mill regarding where I purchased, when I purchased, did I have receipt, proof of purchase, did I register, serial number and serial number of the battery (and I bought tool only). I basically felt like I was accused of stealing it, because I purchased awhile back and am just now using. Anyway completely absurd. So if you purchase their products, make sure you register and keep receipt otherwise they won’t assist or send you needed parts.
