EGOReviews of egopowerplus.com

While the design and power of the Ego push mower were fine, the mower itself is made of cheap plastic parts that break. The scam paet is that Ego doesn't honor its warranty. The local repair shop will say that Ego's defective design is your fault and charge you hundreds. I've contacted Ego and they did bothing to stop the scam.

Pure garbage !!! Bought an Ego trimmer and the first time I tried to wind new line the power load button stuck. They had me send it in for repairs and two weeks later it came back with the trigger replaced. They never looked at the power load button at all. Then they said wait 5 to 10 business days and they would send me a new one. We’ll surprise it never showed up. Now after several calls and three escalations still no trimmer. They don’t have one to send me. They keep promising me that a supervisor will call but nope. They can’t fix it and can’t send a new one. Their five year warranty seems to be garbage like their equipment.

Subpar product backed by horrible customer service and unfair policy! Beware if you are considering purchasing ANYTHING from EGO, be it on-line or in store. I purchased the self-propelled lawn mower 3 years ago and the battery went bad just over the 3 year warranty period (I've had neighbors share the same story with this very same company, too!). To clarify, the mower was purchased on-line and was not received for 26 days; meanwhile, the warranty started its expiration from the day this thieving company took my hard-earned money, instead of from the date the mower was actually received (which I provided proof of)! Additionally, if you do not call on the very first day of ANY HINT of an issue with any of their products, they will not honor their warranty (i.e. don’t waste time trying to trouble shoot anything because you will end up getting hosed!)! NOTE: IT WILL COST YOU ALMOST AS MUCH TO REPLACE A BATTERY AS IT DID FOR THE ENTIRE BUNDLED MOWER PACKAGE (Around $550+tax for the mower, charger & battery vs. $400 FOR A BATTERY THAT WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED EVERY 3 YEARS (well, apparently just a few days over every 3 years!))!!! A secondary issue with the self-propelled mower is that the blades on the mower consistently leave random, uncut strands of grass, requiring multiple passes over the same areas. I called Ego over a half-dozen times to discuss these issues and there was never a reasonable solution or even a compromise offered. Do yourself a favor and stay as far away from this company as possible. This company does NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMER BASE!! Consider other brands and ensure you familiarize yourself with their warranty policy BEFORE you fork over a single penny!

At 5 years 1 month my EGO lawn mower stopped working. I was 1 month outside of the warranty period. I called support and they told be sorry you are out of warranty and the nearest repair location is 200 miles away. I am now stuck with a $700 lawn mower that needs to be trashed. Their solution was to buy another EGO product. I already own other EGO products but will never buy another one.

Bought a pole saw, worked good for about a year. Maybe only 5 hours of use. Battery started acting up. Called support. 2 weeks to get a replacement battery. Sucks. Also bought a tiller attachment. Should have read the reviews on this site before buying. Buyer beware!

bought several items and after a couple of years a charger stopped working and so did the battery. The don’t back there product and it’s over priced. I will not buy anymore of there products or recommend there products either.

Honest review. Bought ego mower 2023 top of the line. Worked for 1 season then went dead. Ego said return to Lowes for repair. In repair shop for 3 months, they requested a replacement tool which Ego sent to repair shop in NC. They kept saying they did not receive it despite the ups tracking it delivered. Lowes tried to resolve issue by replacing tool from store stock. Once again got top of line mower, got it home charged battery and nothing. Mower inoperable. Returned to Lowes again and received refund from original purchase. Nice mowers liked it, but quality and repair is not up to par. Would not recommend purchase of this product.

Incomplete instruction caused me not to be able to use my new mower for 4 hours. As I waited for customer service and was hung up on waiting for customer service and was hung up on the agent even admitted to me that they were going to call me back , but he had another call coming in. Extremely poor customer service.
