EGOReviews of egopowerplus.com

These products are great however when the battery goes bad they will find every excuse to not send a replacement battery under warranty. They told one was being sent to me, I waited 2 months and then called and they said sorry we are not sending you one. The time was past warranty. However it was not out of warranty when I called. Do not buy these!

Stay far away from this company! They will bring you in with there Fake 5 year warranty and i say Fake because good luck trying to use it. And after you get then to accept responsibility they have you send it to a repair company that not only loses your items but literally you have to do all the work to hunt down your blower. EGO wont and cant do anything because they are literally clueless and Lowe's is not accepting responsibility because they even told me they don't like working with EGO. Just stay far away!

My EGO trimmer has had problems in the first 2 months of use. Ihad to purchase a part out of pocket. Less than a month later it had to be sent to a service center, in this case AceHardware where it will sit for 6-8 weeks before they can even assess the problem. I cannot return it as I am deeply dissatisfied nor do I get a loaner. Calling EGO, I get a rep who can only tell me EGO will repair it. I will likely purchase a new trimmer, not EGO! And I will NEVER CONSIDER EGO as an option in the future!!

The equipment is expensive, particularly the batteries, which do not last long enough. If you are not willing to spend $1,000 on batteries every five years, you do not need to waste your time with this product. It takes me one 7.5 amp and three 2.5 amps to cut, blow, edge, and weed eat my yard, and it takes me 3 hours start to finish. I will say, the volume the equipment operates at is nice, and it is strong enough, but the life of the batteries, and the cost to replace them, is insanely poor to me.

EGO's customer service and warranty departments are outsourced to overseas telephone operations. Although EGO promotes 5-year warranty on tools and 3-year on batteries, they do not stand behind their warranty. Their first position is denial. I tried communicating with CS twice and escalated to supervisor without satisfaction. Although EGO since my purchase of their string trimmer have made two upgrades that directly apply to my problem and my request for replacement of the head that is not accepting the manual load string replacement. Their answer, go buy a new trimmer.

So they really are liberally with the "up to " when it says how long the battery lasts... I have .5 acre and everything said up to .5 of an acre and 50 mins of run time per charge...ok I got maybe 30 mins on a charge and nowhere near .5 acre...it took me 5 charges to cut my grass and my grass is much shorter than on the commercials or what you see online...maybe my battery is faulty? I do love the product and how quiet and easy to use it is but the battery is less than desirable..

I purchased an EGO trimmer expecting high quality and reliability, but unfortunately, I’ve had a frustrating experience. The battery got stuck on the trimmer and wouldn’t release, making it impossible to use or recharge. This seems like a serious design flaw. I reached out to customer service hoping for a quick and helpful resolution, but the support was disappointing. I didn’t receive clear guidance or timely assistance, and it felt like my concerns weren’t taken seriously. For a brand that markets itself as premium, this experience was far from it. I expected better product durability and customer care. I hope EGO improves both their product design and support services moving forward.

This is my second lawnmower from EGO, the first one stopped running right after the warranty the most resent one stopped with the self propel feature I tried to go on the app and. It wouldn’t let me in. It kept saying an error has happened try again later. Which I did the next day and it happened again. I research it and it appears that they have a new app. Wouldn’t you think they would redirect you to the new app ? Anyway I got on and there is no record of any tools in my account. I was flabbergasted as it showed no tools on file . I have just about every tool they make and they all were registered with copies of the receipts. I called today the overseas support group and they said I needed the S/N of the lawnmower, charger and batteries that the lawnmowers came with for them to do anything. Or a receipt (which they already have) They lost all my info except for the first lawnmower thats out of warranty anyway I religiously registered every item. So they basically said Im screwed because I dont have the battery or charger (those are not even under warranty anymore and dont have anything to do with the mower no it wotking( I quit possibly through the battery out because they suck and dont last three years . I will never ever purchase another ego product. And I guess Il have a garage sale to sell the 8 tools, 12 batteries and snowblower Because I will not be a slave to them and keep buying tools and batteries to keep them working . This is their business plan. That is to get you to keep purchases g there inferior product. So its a never ending circle of money going out the door.
