We purchased all new equipment when we retired and couldn’t do gas powered anymore due to our health. Unfortunately we decided to buy ego weedwacker, leaf blowers, and snow thrower. Our main issues are the batteries don’t last and are extremely expensive. We called customer service the first time and frankly they stink at it!! A company that doesn’t stand by their products shouldn’t be in business!!! Don’t buy Ego and save yourself tons of money and headaches!!!!

Re: Extremely poor customer service EGO Power & String Trimmer Model# ST1500SF Serial# NST11243913719 This past August I purchased, from Amazon, the EGO string trimmer noted above. Upon receipt, I registered it as per instructions. When I was putting away the trimmer last week, I noted that I was missing the two (2) hexagon socket screws [part# 5620216003?] and string washers [part# 5650012?] which attach the guard to the trimmer. On Thursday, October 23 I called customer service. I spoke to one lady who took the information including model number, where purchased, missing parts. After numerous back-and-forth discussions, I was told that I could not receive the needed pieces since “proof of purchase was absent”. I then spoke to a gentleman who was her supervisor. Again, I reviewed the problem, missing parts, purchase information, reviewed attachments [scans] from Amazon regarding the trimmer. After more than two hours on the phone and sending seven (7) emails with attachments as requested, the supervisor said I did not document that I purchased the above trimmer from Amazon, I had paid for it, and therefore was not entitled to receive the screws and springs as needed/requested.

NO customer service. Impossible to contact. Avoid!

Battery for my $600 ego mower died after 3 years and 5 months. Mower only used perhaps 30 times, during that time, totally approximately 30-35 hours. It actually began losing charge at the three year 2 month mark, which coincidentally is two months past the end of the warranty period. Customer service was unhelpful rude, and from another country, so I could barely understand her.. They were unable to even offer a replacement battery, except paying full retail price, which is $439! So, please avoid purchasing EGO products, they make their money off batteries so they are only built to last a lilttle past trhe warranty period.

I have a chainsaw that I barely use and after a year, the battery dies 30 seconds into cutting wood on a "full" battery. Called Ego multiple times and they are refusing to replace the tool/battery or to even acknowledge they are at fault. The battery has a 3 year warranty and I registered it day 1. Customer service has also been quite rude on the phone as well. DO NOT BUY.

Machine en panne au bout de 2 ans (débroussailleuse à 500€ quand même), suite à un problème de carte électronique, pièce changé mais ne fonctionne pas, Ego ne propose pas de solution. Produit soit disant garantie 5ans ou 3ans et il est bon pour la poubelle. C'est jolie sur le papier les garanties mais derrière il n'y a personne.

I will never purchase an E go product again. After 4 phone calls over the course of multiple days and hours to customer service and yet another requirement to honor the warranty. I gave up on them. My time spent certainly was worth more than the 150 dollar battery/charger combo. Thanks for the one time use product support. See ya!
