The previous reviews say it all and wish I had read before trialling the app. To make matters worse I cancelled my subscription and got rid of the app and they have still decided to take £17.99 from my account and the app won’t let me reset my password to get into it to get my money back. I will now have to take this up with PayPal. AVOID AT ALL COST!

They take advantage of people with debilitating mental disease to make money. They falsely advertise a “personalised” plan based on your ADHD type that they get from your answers to their short quiz. What they end up sending is a generic guide to using their app with some medical speak in it. Nothing personalised about it. They don’t even mention ADHD types in their guide which makes it ridiculously easy to dispute this in court if anyone chooses to pursue legal action and start a class action suit.

This company is very good at marketing but their marketing is based on false promises. I wish I had read more reviews before buying. This is just a habit tracker, nothing personalized about it. In the upsell page it mentions unlimited support, there is no support. Then they offer you an onboarding call that is only offered between the times of 2am - 7am if you are central time US.

As per my direct email: Hi Jacob, I was thrilled by Effecto's very aggressive proposition, everything promised seems to be relevant to ADHDers, and super necessary. Regrettably, the registration journey was an ADHD nightmare. As you know, people with ADHD are four times more likely to impulse purchase than neurotypical consumers. You know exactly where I'm going with this. How many LAST CHANCE TO PURCHASE THIS BOOK deals do you think is ethical to spam to your sole target audience with? Any number larger than zero is unacceptable. I purchased the productivity handbook hoping it would go hand in hand with the app. After reading through it, and going through the app, I regret to say the two couldn't be more disjointed. The concepts mentioned in the handbook tie in no way whatsoever to the app. You claim to have grounded your time in medical research and your medical specialist has experience in neuroscience. It doesn't seem like you tried to leverage your understanding of cognition and disseminate your app with cues to take action and to facilitate contextual, progressive learning. Your app promises to help ADHDers achieve a wealth of benefits, including the ultimate sleep routine, discovering the most productive window of the day to get challenging work done, mood boosts. All this through accurate tracking and reporting. You know very well that apps relying on self-reporting fail due to lack of consistent tracking, yet your app neither does anything to work around this (increasing self-efficacy, educating on the aspects of the different contributors to performance, etc) nor foster better behaviour from users (all you do is send a push notification to remind users to take medication and to insert data related to every aspect that one should track to start spotting trends, and frankly, who gives a damn about those when even achieving a reliable baseline implies tracking behaviour that is not necessarily present in your audience. I'm guessing you're already aware about this, given the wealth of one-star reviews you have on Trustpilot from customers pointing out the very obvious flaw of the premise that an app that would work for behaviour optimisation AT BEST, is not going to help people looking to embrace new habits, change their lives and get a chance to get on top of their struggles. You're a bunch of scammers, you know this, and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I dont understand anything of this app, and everything is overwhelming to look at. I really hope they make some improvments that really helps people with adhd.

Wish I had read the reviews. Not at all what I thought it was going to be. No response from them with regard to a refund. Would absolutely not recommend. Not what is advertised

Wish I had read these reviews before impulsivity took over! I opened the app and took one look and was so overwhelmed with all the business etc that I had to close it immediately. It triggered my anxiety and made me feel very uncomfortable. I contacted them immediately to cancel and have a refund (within 2 mins of purchase) and still no response from them. This is an awful app if you are neurodivergent - please avoid at all costs.
