Total waste of money and feels like a scam. I signed up for the initial trial. The app was not that helpful and forgot about it and its automatical renewal. Then I got changed a MONTHLY fee £24.49. Given the app is specifically designed for forgetful people it feels very unfair that they don't send out reminders for subscription renewal. Also, it's IMPOSSIBLE to cancel subscription without contacing their team. I contacted their help and they didn't even reply to my last email. When I left them review on Play store suddenly a very concerend reply from the compamy appeared below my review. HOWEVER they didn't get back to me on the email and I have not seen my money back. I feel like I've been scammed.

Firstly, personally I found the app useless. It is super boring, and brings nothing to the table. Secondly, they put me on a subscription I did not ask for, and they put it on my paypal account. That was sneaky and on purpose. I am managing my ADHD just fine. I never needed this app. ADHD is not a disability that needs an app. If you have ADHD and you mess up, do something half, just laugh and do it again and remember all the times you did a great job.

Predatory scam. Deliberately preying on people with ADHD as we are likely to have memory issues, impulse control issues and are know to struggle with subscription canceling. I didn’t know I had a subscription with them at all as it is not listed in my Apple account that I have recently gone through and cancelled all subscriptions I wasn’t using. I was charged £46.98, contacted them for a refund ans I haven’t even opened the anpp and was told unless the app is faulty they will not refund me. I have put in a Subject Access Request for all of my data and the subscription agreement I have apparently signed. I’ve reported as a fraudulent app to Apple as well and will be following up with Predatory and vile. They know exactly what they are doing and using tactics that exploit people with ADHD using the very symptoms they are marketing themselves as “Helping” with to extract money. In reply to your reply, do you guys need a hand with that? As I’ve noticed on every other 1 star review you’ve said the same thing and it’s been a while now. I can tell you how to do it if you like. You can purchase a subscription package from me for web/app development. It’s about an hours work. But the subscription is for a year. No refunds. Please acknowledge the SAR I have put in at the email address you’ve provided.

I found the amount of text/icons/functions overwhelming and the app was not easy to navigate/use. I did give it a try, but on month 2 I have decided that 24 pounds is a steep price for an app that does not seem to improve my habits/mental health, there are many much cheaper alternatives out there. I did unsubscribe in the apple subscriptions, however, was still charged 24 pounds. When I discovered it I contacted effecto support team and explained the situation - they said they will not be issuing a refund and told me I had to cancel not only in the apple subscriptions but directly with them. I apologised and asked them for a refund one more time (it was the beginning of the month so I have not yet used the app and I need those 24 ponds for food and bills as I recently lost my job), but they still refused to issue it or even acknowledge my situation. Now, 24 pounds is unfortunately a noticeable amount of money for me, I struggle with severe ADHD and I found it extremely upsetting that a company which claims to cater to people with attention deficit is simply preying on our neurodivergence. Shameful.

Steer clear from this app. They have been charging me for 3 years without any receipt, long before I had forgotten about it. Why did I forget about it? Because after installing it, I reported bug issues that never got answered past the "thank you for your report". Thank God I took screenshot that were saved on my drive and could find them now. After changing phones, the app was long forgotten as well, not working. I've just recently discovered by accident on my credit card bill that they have been happy to charge me for 3 years. I wonder how many others are like me out there. Very ironic and well, sad that people with adhd are exploited in this way. By comparison, any other paid for app that I use has better communication, reminders of choice of renewing or cancelling subscriptions. I assumed Effecto would be the same, having gotten it through GooglePlay.

I was charged $200.00 au by this app (apparently two months subscription??) I have never downloaded this app. I have never subscribed. They are now refusing to refund me, or show ‘proof of download/purchase’. I have a screen shot that shows the app has never been on my phone, and they are still refusing to refund me my $200.00. Be very careful. They are scammers!! I wouldn’t recommend.

Unfortunately the text is too small in the app alongside a lack of visual stimulation. The app doesn't seem to have been created with neurodivergent users in mind. I emailed but no reply. I gave them 28 days notice to cancel my subscription, hoping they will sort it swiftly (I also paid by PayPal so can remove my card). I'm not sure how trust pilot gives them 3.8 stars when 42% of the reviews are 1 star. Honestly, don't bother with this.

Deze applicatie maakt gebruik van een schandalig agressieve salesfunnel waarbij je constant onder druk wordt gezet om allerlei aanbiedingen te accepteren. Uiteindelijk leidt dit tot een zogenaamd “0-euro” betaling via PayPal, waarna er vrijwel direct een bedrag van je rekening wordt afgeschreven zonder duidelijke toestemming. De klantenservice is ronduit slecht en volkomen onbetrouwbaar. Dit is absoluut een product dat je moet vermijden!
