Do not touch this company. They bill you six months later for a subscription fee and don't actually give you anything for it. I haven't used the app for six months and have not received anything from them and yet they've taken nearly £50.00 subscription fee and are refusing to refund it. Disgraceful and unprofessional company. DO NOT TOUCH.
This offer for me to email them, resulted in their same disgrace, rude and unprofessional comments. I would reiterate DO NOT TOUCH.
I've told them that I am going to report them to Trading Standard and BBC Watchdog and I suggest any of you that are also not happy with their underhand way of scamming money out of unsuspecting people, do the same.

This app is awful
This app is awful. Not productive at all, just a bunch of trackers asking you to journal everything. No way to set your own tasks to improve your productivity. No refund even though I have told them it's useless and I have had it only 18 hours and already know I won't use it as their is no " pay off" for doing so. No achievements. No way of adding any sort of personalised information, reminders or tasks. You have to email to cancel, they could just lock you out the app and give the refund - but no. They are targeting ADHD profile people and have no intention of actually helping them.

AVOID SUBSCRIBING AT ALL COSTS!
AVOID SUBSCRIBING AT ALL COSTS!! I accidentally subscribed after forgetting to cancel a free trial (classic adhd tax problem). When I emailed to request a refund they fobbed me off saying they were referring me to a ‘senior’ customer service agent who I obviously never heard from and eventually forgot about it (again due to adhd). They did however confirm they had cancelled my subscription by email. A year later and with no notice I have been charged for this app again without my consent. I am absolutely furious as I know it will be impossible once again to get them to give me my refund even though they had cancelled this subscription.
Overall I feel this company relies on being able to take advantage of the classic symptoms of people with adhd to make money. From the little I saw of the app in my free trial period it was hugely confusing and not at all user friendly. Save your money and go to a company that actually wants to help people with adhd rather than take advantage of them for money!!

May the buyer beware
So I signed up for this app last year after being chased by re-targetting ads across the internet.
After signing up, I had a look at it and I thought it was a bit of a let down to be honest, very basic, so I thought I'd cancel but couldn't remember how I'd signed up for it. I checked my play store and couldn't see any subscription in there so thought it must have been a one off payment.
Anyway fast forward 12 months and a payment came out of my bank from Paypal whilst I was away on holiday. No warning and at first I thought someone had hacked my Paypal. Upon my return I went into check and found that it was in fact a subscription in Paypal, to Effecto so I obviously stopped that immediately.
There was also an email address (which is just as well because I was about to do a chargeback via Paypal as I thought I'd cancelled it already), so I emailed them.
They replied to ask me to prove I'd cancelled it. So I emailed them back asking them how I was supposed to prove that (you can't prove a negative) and told them to check their records because I hadn't used it in almost 12 months. This is the reply I received.
"We follow a no refund policy, unless the product is proven to be faulty. In such cases, User must contact our customer support at (email address given) within 14 days upon purchase and must provide detailed information proving Company’s product fault (with visual proof attached)."
In addition, "Under the applicable legal acts, the User has a right to change their mind and return delivered (received) goods within 14 (fourteen) days from the day of delivery. However, there is also an exception established by those legal acts, according to which, the right to return goods is not applicable for contracts regarding the supply of Digital content in case the provision of such Digital content has already commenced. Therefore, in case the Digital content is already provided to the User, the User loses his/her right of withdrawal of the Agreement."
Now any reputable and reasonable company who can see that you aren't using their product and haven't for quite some time might in the interests of good customer service and preservation of their reputation make a refund in spite of the T&C, but no, not this one.
This is a commentary I found about the Consumer Contracts Act 2013 (which is presumably what they were referring to in their reply).
"If consumers change their mind about a purchase, most retailers will offer a refund or allow the goods to be returned and exchanged as they want to retain goodwill from customers."
I think we can establish from that that this company don't really care about their customers or their goodwill.
The UK government began processing a new policy paper in December 2023, entitled "Enhancing consumer rights", unfortunately, it is not yet law. The Policy document is aimed at tackling unfair practices including dealing with unfair ‘subscription traps’.
So the UK government recognises that these subscription plans are unfair to the consumer, (bearing in mind that no reminder was sent stating that the subscription was coming up due for renewal), so I think it's safe to say that this company engage in unfair practices.
So here's the thing. Legally, as the law stands at the moment, I can't do anything about them taking £50 odd quid out of my bank account for the product that is of zero use to me, but one thing I can do is publically tell my story to warn others to beware, and legally THEY can do nothing about that either. Because it's the truth.
So my advice to anyone considering taking up the online offer for help with ADHD from Effecto, be very careful. Read what your getting yourself into. This company really isn't trying to help you. They are trying to help themselves... to your money!

Do not download this app, DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY. They will falsely advertise products, steal your money and refuse to refund. The customer service is non-existent and they do not reply to emails.

BEWARE!
This company is a scam. I purchased a planner from them and received it, it was horrible, but then 3 months later charged another 39.99 for some membership I never signed up for and they just say sorry no refunds for digital products, but it isn't a digital product it is a membership and they just stopped responding. I reached out to them saying I never ordered this membership within two days of the charge. RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE> Don't let this mislead you, I DID reach out to them I had to cancel the payment method through paypal to make sure that I they don't charge me again. I guess they didn't actually read this review. Companies that "hide" their automatic renewals and then don't care if you don't see it in what THEY consider "in plain site". Nah no thank you. No integrity. AND, their product stinks too to make matters worse, but at least I knew I ordered that..
Response from EffectoDec 3, 2024

Exploitative app - AVOID!
If I could give zero stars I would. Clever exploitative trick that targets people with ADHD who have issues with being impulsive. Desperately hoped for something that would help but the app is basic. Just a tracker for sleep, nutrition etc you can find for free elsewhere. No reminder for renewal of subscription and not easy to cancel - so you can get caught out and pay again. Wish I had read the reviews that say all of this already!
UPDATE to Effecto response.
While I appreciate the app may work for some, it didn't for me, and as you can see from other reviews, it is not particularly straightforward to cancel the subscription. I asked if you would help or refund, but you have replied that you will not. I understand your policy, but stand by my original comments as do feel really disappointed by my experience.
Response from EffectoDec 3, 2024

Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled at least 48 hours before the end of the current period, and cancellation details are shared during checkout and in the welcome email. We’re working to make the process clearer and easier for all users.
If you still need assistance, please contact us at [email protected] with your account email and, if possible, your order number. We’d like to resolve this for you.

Ok, So No No!
Ok. so Noooo! it immediately goes against the personality type that it targets. I finally downloaded the Effecto app today after seeing it advertised for a while. However, as soon as I opted for the 3-month plan without knowing what to expect, the app immediately suggested that I need to buy a book to proceed further. Why is that necessary? What does the book provide? They should specify the total costs upfront; now I feel like I can't trust them. It's frustrating because I can't determine if the app is good or bad since I'm unsure about what I'm actually paying for. I'm considering canceling my subscription because I prefer to know what I'm getting into before I start.
Response from EffectoDec 2, 2024
Dear Gaynor,
We apologize for any confusion and frustration you've experienced with the Effecto app. Our goal is to provide a seamless and transparent experience, and we regret that this was not your experience. The book is intended to complement the app by offering additional insights and strategies; however, we understand that this was not clearly communicated upfront. We are actively working to ensure all associated costs and resources are clearly outlined to build trust with our users.
To assist you further, please contact us at [email protected] with your account email and, if possible, your order number. We are committed to addressing your concerns and improving your experience with Effecto.
Sincerely,
