Avoid avoid avoid! This app sets up as a 1 week trial but automatically renews without warning and takes a sizeable monthly subscription. When I asked for a refund for my most recent payment I was told this was not possible. As a mental health app it only adds to your stress.

If I could rate lower than 1 star, I would. I never confirmed the initial appointment, in repeated occasions I requested the cancellation of the service I once took the trial but never continued using. Despite I have proof the cancellation was confirmed, they never reimbursed the charged months. I’m close to $1K of unsolicited services.

Finger weg!!! Man verschiebt bewusst nach der Testphase Kunden in die Abo-Falle und lässt sich auf keinerlei positive Lösungen ein. D.h. das ist das Geschäftsmodell ansonsten wäre man gesprächsbereit und lösungsorientiert. Ich werde derartige Shops in Zukunft ignorieren und das solltet ihr ebenfalls tun.

Das Probe-Abo ist eine Kostenfalle. Irgendwo im Bestellprozess soll ein Hinweis erfolgen, dass man das Probe-Abo kündigen muss, um nicht in die Abofalle zu geraten. Ich lese sowas immer sehr sorgfältig und bin trotzdem nicht drüber gestolpert. Also am besten gleich bei Abschluss zum Ende des Probeabos kündigen und z.B. bei Paypal sofort von der Abbuchungsliste nehmen. Die AGBs gibt es nur auf Englisch und das ganze Gebahren entspricht sicher nicht den Vorgaben für online-Verkäufe in Deutschland/Europa. Ätzend!

AVOID. I find I am not alone in having been ripped off by this company. The comments in othercrevirws echo exactly what I woke up to yesterday to find they had taken £176.99 from me. Supposedly for the expiry of free 6 months I had unwittingly signed up for after which the charge was £176.99. They wont budge on refunding it to 77 year old pensioner on small budget. I signed up for the discounted trial because I wanted to evaluate the service. After briefly looking at it, I decided it wasn't for me and never actually used the program. Unfortunately, I forgot to cancel the subscription before the renewal date and was charged €138.53 for a 12-week subscription. As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted customer support and explained that I had not used the renewed subscription at all. I asked if they could make a one-time goodwill exception and issue a refund. Customer support responded promptly and remained polite throughout our correspondence. However, they consistently referred to their subscription terms and declined my request, even after I asked for my case to be reviewed. I accept that I missed the cancellation deadline, so I understand why they rely on their policy. However, I was disappointed that no goodwill refund or partial refund was considered, despite my immediate contact and lack of use of the renewed subscription. My advice to anyone considering the trial is to make a note of the renewal date and cancel well in advance if you do not wish to continue, as the subscription renews automatically at the full price.

Und wollte ich die App für mich testen. Was ich nicht gewusst habe: Das Probemodell verlängert sich autz, sofern es nicht aktiv über die Plattform gekündigt wird. Der Betrag lässt übrigens Effecto von einem externen Dienstleister abbuchen: Medical Core. Die automatische Verlängerung wird absichtlich nicht klar und transparent kommuniziert. Der Hinweis erscheint lediglich in sehr kleiner Schrift während des Web‑Checkouts und ist für Verbraucher leicht zu übersehen. Nach der Testphase hat sich das Probeabo für 13,69 Euro in ein monatliches Abonnement zu 42,99 € verwandelt – ein Preis, der in keinem angemessenen Verhältnis zur angebotenen Leistung steht. Problem: Der Abschluss des Abonnements erfolgt ganz geschickt über Social‑Media ( Facebook, Instagram) auf der Website von Effecto. Man lädt die App runter, aber weder im Apple‑Store noch im Google‑Play‑Store ist das Abo kündbar. Man sieht nichts, man kann das gekaufte Abo nicht verwalten.
