Poor customer service and overly reliant on AI. I'm currently having issues sending faxes, which is typical for this service of late. Talking to a human being is nearly impossible, as they have put endless AI bots between the customer and support. It's a 50/50 tossup which version of their portal pops up when I login to send a fax. They still have the OG site and a new one. I still haven't figured out how it's decided which version I am sent to when trying to log in.

Set up was not hard but the service was not useful to me and I was unable to send the fax I needed too. I only needed to use it one time so my money and time were wasted. I would not recommend this service.

I am a busy doctor and zero time for wasted time. About 25% of the time I send a routine fax it says FAX NOT SENT. I then have to log onto old website to get it to send. I would have given it 5 stars until some moron at efax just had to do some system upgrade. it is always some idiot trying to make things better that just ruins it. Sine then I have to make sure fax goes thru and that 25% it doesn't then log onto the old website. WASTED TIME. THANKS FOR NOTHING.

Hello Valued eFax customer,
Thank you for reaching out, and we sincerely apologize for the frustration this has caused. The issue you are experiencing may be related to cached cookies in your browser. Clearing them often resolves the problem.
As an alternative, you can also send faxes directly from your registered email address without logging into the website. Simply enter the recipient’s fax number (including “1” before the area code, with no spaces or dashes) followed by @efaxsend.com, attach your document, and send.
We hope this helps make sending faxes quicker and smoother for you. Please let us know if you continue to experience issues by messaging us at: [email protected] and we would be happy to assist!

Outraged - Fraudulent company who charges for services against your consent
I am upset that the agent or company policies that inhibited him to grant a refund of 47.98.
- Looking at facts
1. use of product/service since sign up. Which was 2x day of signup 2. cancellation made of free trial on the same day of purchase. 3. The Company’s 100% money back - customer satisfaction guarantee - with 7 days free— 4. the paper trail of emails for reference - all these are asking for them to delete account and no further billing. I was within my trial period and should receive full Refund not partial. The chat agent was pleasant but did not provide me with resolution I deserve

Trouble sending fax
After reading those positive online reviews, I applied the eFax plan, everything was easy and smoothly.
Once I started my test, I got the problem, I can't sent fax . I tried two different fax number, neither one worked, 20 to 30 mins later, I got email, said unsuccessful fax transmission due to communication error.
1800 number always are auto voice and have no real agent, finally got live chat, first agent tried and failed sending tax too then she disappeared, second agent kicked in. but I already decided to cancel the plan, it took me too much time to do the trouble shooting, it didn't worth it. BTW, it's the domestic fax and recipient are real fax machines.

Fine for a while, but cancelling was a ridiculous hassle that raises my suspicions
ANOTHER edit, one day later, after the last reply: efax, Read my full review please. Your reply does not address what most of my review is about. You've got potential, efax! Just please be thorough, read carefully, and make improvements that are relevant to the feedback you receive.
Here's an edit after they responded 6 MONTHS after posting this: efax, read my review again. You're missing the point of what I'm saying. The problem isn't what was "offered," it's that was was "offered" didn't work!
See original review, which still applies:
eFax was fine for me when I ran my business & required fax services every so often. Even though I thought it was a bit pricey for the archaic online interface, it did what I needed.
Then I just didn't need it anymore. So I clicked on "cancel my account." A popup came up that said my request couldn't be completed online (i took several screenshots of multiple attempts, even after clearing history, cache, dif browsers, etc.) and that I needed to use the Live Chat. So I did.
Then the chatbot just told me to go to the Billing section of my account online and click cancel. Well, I did that, and that's what directed me to the Chat! So I explained the problem, but then the chatbot stopped responding and no live chat operator picked up the chat. At all. After over an hour. (All the while I'm on hold with their 800 number because the other options aren't working.)
I also sent an email to their support on Dec. 28. It's Jan 22, and no response yet. Not even a confirmation of receipt.
I FINALLY was on hold long enough to reach a live person, and said I wished to cancel. They offered me a bunch of extras and asked if I would consider keeping my service if I could get 2 months free and one of those extra options. I said no.
THEN... they tell me that I have an "old version" of an efax account and that I can get the annual account for 70% LESS than what I've been paying for a few years! So they're essentially telling me I've been paying more than I needed to for who knows how long, without any notification that I could be getting the same perks for less money.
Yet they told this to me as if it would make me want to reconsider cancelling!
I kept declining and the rep finally agreed to cancel my account and gave me a conf number. Then proceeded to ask if I'd be interested in voice services! No, thank you, I am wary of using this company again because of how many hoops I had to jump through to cancel. They say it's easy to cancel online or through email or chat... (I've read their responses to these reviews). Well it would be, if those options worked, or I'd get responses!
Please eFax, bring your business into the 21st century. Tend to your customers' concerns. Listen to what they actually want, and don't lead them on wild goose chases when all they want to do is cancel their account because they don't fax much anymore.
