They have no easy way to cancel your account. You have to CALL THEM and when you tell them you need to cancel they'll put you on hold forever, and then hang up.
They add on ridiculous $5 "late fee" charges for whatever reasons.
You can easily spend $100 in 4 months for almost NOTHING. They won't give a refund either.

Hello Shaun. Cancellation via your online website login, Phone or Chat Support is available with our service. Regardling Late Fees, as the name implies, if service payments were not made on the payment due date, Late Fees are applied on the account. If you have not reached out to support, please do not hesitate to message us via email at [email protected] with your account details and we would be happy to assist!
Sincerely,

Completely useless
Completely useless. My faxes wouldn't send and no one at support had any idea why. Turns out my pictures were at too high of a dpi. Clearly the system knew that since the faxes were failing, but I had to figure that out for myself.
Then, I tried to fax to a number in Florida and it wouldn't send because 'the long distance charges would be too high'.
Response from eFaxSep 28, 2025
Hello Russ,
We are sorry to hear about the issues you experienced. Please note that our system can handle files up to 10 MB in the app and 18 MB on the portal. If a file exceeds these limits, the system will notify you to reduce the file size before sending.
For long distance faxes outside of North America (Canada and the U.S.), please follow the appropriate dialing rules. When sending a fax within the U.S. or Canada, you must always include the “1” in front of the area code to ensure the fax goes through.
If you need any assistance, please message us at: [email protected], and we will be happy to help.
Thank you,

I signed up for efax due to our faxing…
I signed up for efax due to our faxing service being down. Once I got confirmation that the fax was sent out, I cancelled my account online and saw on the screen that my account was cancelled.
Efax continued to charge me for several months. The card it was charging was my work card, and as my job does not require me to purchase anything, the charges went unchecked until it hit a limit. I had not once received any invoices, cancellations, or any emails from efax during the time I "had this service"
I had called them asking them to refund me for the months it was not used, stating that I had cancelled it on the website itself.
They continually stated that I had not cancelled it and despite not using it or seeing a single login to their service, they had the right to charge me.
Their customer service has been incredibly rude. They have hung up on me, they have argued back and forth with me, they have stated conflicting things to me over and over again. The number provided is not the fax number I had from efax, but it is my number associated with the account. I myself do not KNOW the fax number I had with efax because, again, I cancelled the account right after the fax sent.
Their customer service has been salacious, mocking, rude, short, and consistently unhelpful. It has been months of me trying to call to get an update on this situation and a refund, only to be met with rude customer service, who continually hangs up on me.
If you ask to speak to a manager, they decline. If you ask to speak to the billing department, they decline.
Absolutely horrible service.
RE: Their response. I had cancelled the account. I did not receive any emails from efax post this, I saw the confirmation on the screen that my account was closed. I received no invoices at any point. I have reached out to your support team multiple times and been hung up on, been consistently spoken down to.
In reaching out via email, I have received the a generic response stating the same thing efax included in their response. If you have contacted the email in their response previously, you get kicked back a message saying their email is under maintenance.
Just because they are responsive on their reviews DOES NOT INDICATE THEY CONDUCT BUSINESS WELL.

"you dont have access to compose resource, check your account"
So why spend money if i cant use this service?
In the email verification link. It shows that its unable to verfy my email. Maybe it only favors specific emails types

Scammers
Scammers.
The first fax never works.
Then they AUTO ban you.
You basically paid, THEIR service fails, and THEY ban you.
you reach out? They claim you're unbanned. No, you're not. you can't even reset your password after that (the button is grayed out). No error in terms of setting the password.
outrageous, disgusting criminals.
If you look deeper into efax, you'll see it's owned by a parent company. That parent company owns almost all the online faxing services. Aka, they're ALL scammers.

Stay away
I signed up for eFax’s 14-day free trial because I was seriously considering them as a long-term solution. What a mistake.
I tried to send the same 16-page PDF three times to the same recipient. The first attempt failed without explanation, so I retried. That failed too. I tried a third time, thinking maybe it was just a temporary glitch. All three attempts failed, not a single fax ever went through. eFax gave me no error details, no support, nothing to help me figure out why.
Then came the shock: instead of honoring the free trial, eFax charged my card €20. Why? Because their system counts failed attempts as billable pages and automatically tacks on “usage prepay” charges. So essentially, they charged me €20 for failing to deliver my faxes. Nothing was sent, nothing was received, yet my card was debited.
In other words, eFax lured me into retrying the same document again and again, knowing it would keep failing, just to trigger more charges. That feels like a scam.
I cancelled immediately, but the damage is done. I paid €20, got nothing in return, and walked away with a terrible first impression. If this is how eFax treats new customers on a free trial, I can only imagine what happens once you’re locked into a subscription.
My advice: stay away.

Okay until you want to cancel
Faxing is fine but they make cancelling very difficult, and it is obvious they do it to get more money out of people. Very shady company.
