Hands down the worst business…
Hands down the worst business experience I've had in my entire career. Had been a loyal eFax member since 2005 - when I was 19 years old. Have paid these scammers $16/month for 16 years so that I'd be able to send/receive faxes on those very rare occasions when it was necessary for business. Their software is total garbage, as is their customer service - clueless people that can't even find my account by the fax number, then can't even take down my phone number correctly (which is in my account in front of them on their screen at that point), make up nonsense that my 1 Gigabit connection is at fault for them taking 5422 seconds to send a fax. These reps - both the "manager" and their "Resolution Specialist" have no understanding of their own 20-year old, never-updated technology. They claimed that it takes over a minute to send one page by fax, and it's the recipients' fault and they have no control over it. Well, I'd sent a fax to myself - so eFax sending a fax to eFax, and that fax took 5422 seconds as well - that's over 90 minutes or those counting. Their Desktop software, which they forced everyone to migrate to for no apparent reason is total junk with catastrophic bugs - when I tried to update the software - the update utility itself is bugged so it just fails immediately. Their online interface is straight out of 1999 interwebs. Their workflow is amateur just as the reps I've spoken with to try to get help. You do not get any notification after you attempt to send a fax whether it's successful, it doesn't show up in either the Sent folder nor an Outbox folder to at least give some immediate feedback that the fax is being sent. Oh yea - they don't even have an Outbox folder. I got a call back from some "manager" who refused to even disclose his full name after speaking with some "technology specialist" yesterday who appeared totally confused as to what exactly I am unsatisfied with. I'd spent hours and hours just trying to send a critical fax. Their software claims certain limits - like number of PDFs and total file size limit for a single fax - I tried to send a fax that complied with their stated limits - then get some ridiculous warning that my fax is 66.65% over limit or some nonsense. I tried to split that fax into 2 parts, so obviously - that's going to be well under their stupid limit, and then get a warning that it's now 30% over limit. My suggestion to resolve this nightmare with this "manager" today was simple - either refund a part of the roughly $3,000 I'd paid them as a loyal customer over the last 16 years to send a handful of faxes, or just don't charge me for the next couple of years, and then I will remain their customer. He offered me $20 in credit instead. I told him I am no longer interested in using their junk and will move on to another service. Amateur company that just lives on scamming people on their monthly fees and have no interest in customer retention. Have no product to speak of.
