I'm in Kingston Ontario and my advisor is on the ball and have been with him since 2017. Returns averaged @6% so ok. I sold my house and dropped half to EJ and half to CIBC. The bank PPS portfolio of medium risk all CDN funds BEAT EJ which has many American companies that should have outperformed it! When I wanted to remove several "dog" stocks my rep got argumentative. The fees are higher even with a discount. Then I transferred my Open account to bank last fall which took 2 months! Now I'm moving all my accounts ( some funds are not possible) with paperwork sent 8 January and now mid February. My investments are down and still charged mgnt fees plus transfer fees with no explanation or email reply from HO for the delays. To customer account transfer etc PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! Easy to get in, harder to leave, beware!
