When we were sold our contract with EcoShield, we were told that bees, spiders, ants and all sorts of other insects were covered for Mice, Ants, Stinging Insects, Roaches, Millipedes, Silverfish, Sow Bugs, Spiders, Box Elders, Centipedes, Crickets, Earwigs, and more! What we got was a dude that walks around with a spray can and sprays the outside of our house. When we asked about sticky boxes (like our previous exterminator), they put them in. But not until we asked. Each time our Eco Shield exterminator came he would go into a spiel requesting that we rate them on Google or Yelp. (Which I generally decide to do on my own, thank you very much). The last time he was here he urged me to open up a browser on my phone and when the page opened, he reached past my shoulder and pressed 4 Stars & the "ok" button. - Fricken SHOCKING! I am now in search of that garbage 4 star rating to remove it. Today we called to ask them to come out and spray the house again because we had a bunch of carpenter bees swarming our back deck. They told us that it would be $1,000 to spray for them & that THOSE kind of bees weren't covered by our contract. Needless to say, I went down to Lowes and bout a couple of the huge containers of pest spray rated for carpenter bees and only spent $30. - I'll do it myself. These guys are a joke & a rip off.

Shortly when I moved into my house just over a year ago, a young guy came to my doorstep. I didn’t see any cars of theirs nearby. Looks like they monitor and target new homeowners. I’ve never heard of this company before and was hesitating to use them. It was cheap at first so my husband said sure. After the first time I told my husband to not renew but I didn’t realized we were locked in a year contract so I was stuck. Within the year, it seems as though they were all young kids like they were straight out of high school or something. Anyways, they told me if they missed anything I could call back and there’s no charge. They missed big spiderwebs on a couple of my front windows. Called them, he apologized and said they will be there next day, next morning around 9am - 10am. Nobody showed up that day not even a call or text saying they’ll be late or not coming. When they did call, he said they were working on a because they do a really thorough job which takes time, could take up 2-4 hours. They never came until the next quarterly time. They have been a no show, really late several times and don’t even call, which I find that very unprofessional. When they do come quarterly, it’s like they spray outside and I don’t see them around anywhere for 15-20 mins like they hide from our view sitting in their van or something make us think they’re working or something. After 1/2 hour they’re van left. It’s always like this. I pay them and see no results. Shortly after they leave I still see spiders, silver fish, bugs in the house. We called them last summer cause there were ants along our foyer’s coat closet. They didn’t attempt to spray or check the area. They were outside spraying seems like 5 mins and gone. No check of any aunt colony’s around which I know there is. It’s like they do nothing. I don’t see thorough job where they supposedly spend hours doing as they stated. More like 10-15 mins and gone. Now I wonder if they even have any pesticide spray in that can they hold around or just air inside. :D This is just giving them free money for no results. I should’ve known better to use door to door sales people like this especially some young kid walking around the neighborhood ringing people’s doorbells trying to sell their product. When it’s too good (price) to be true, it is. I called Terminix this morning and they’re coming for estimation for me. If it cost about the same even it’s a little more, I’m riding out Eco shields contract, not renewing and be done with them for good. My next door neighbor uses Terminix once and had no issues since with bugs/pests problems.

Very professional but I saw zero results. Quite honestly it looked like they did nothing but clean some cobwebs in the garage and some webs outside. Honestly couldn't tell they did anything. Wanted to cancel and they charge you $200 to cancel the contract. Buyer beware. I would give them a zero if possible. Just money down the drain.

Ebenezer Ofori was pleasant and courteous. This is the first time the outside of my home has been cleaned this well. No spider and wasp nests on the second story above my front door. Webs around my windows were removed. I liked that he asked me if everything was OK and if there was anything he should attend to. Best experience I've had so far with a pest control company.
