Garbage Software & Being Held Hostage By Developers. Will never again have anything to do with Ecommerce Templates. Between the runaround their developers, give you to the outdated software, and having to pay for support just to hear "no" is what your going to get invovled with. So many times we've requested simple updates and have been turned down. We've had enough of this company between the run around, the outdated software that compared to others that have been around for years, you always get, the response of "thats something thats not with the package" that you just paid $200 for. You have to pay for support which you have pay for all the time. One developer wasted 10 days of our time, took 5 days to respond just to give us the runaround and give an excuse lie saying they had too much of a workload and then forget about you. No one outside the ETC will touch this software and you will be held hostage between 2 developers that are 3rd party. Dont bother with it, switch to WooCommerce where there are thousands there to help you, thousands of scripts and you will get done what you have to get done. Cannot wait to scrap this piece of junk software. ETC from what we've seen will always start to cry and attempt to get a website to remove negative posts that show them to be the true nature of things. They want people to buy their outdated software, be made hostage to it.

I used Ecommerce Templates for my online organic food business for 5 years. Although we had to close it down, I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. Andy was great and always so helpful. For me it was nice not to have monthly payments and "own" the platform that my site was based on. Upgrades were always worth it and the changes were always helpful. I also found that the site was faster than woo commerce plugins through wordpress.

This is the 3rd redesign of my site and have used Ecommerce Templates for the previous 2, designing 1 myself with very little knowledge, the 2nd being developed and designed specifically for me by a professional developer. These 2 have worked really well and have developed in design and functionality to meet the growth of my business. Finally I needed to develop a responsive webpage that would meet the needs of modern computers, ipads, iphones and mobile phones. I decided to use the Responsive Design Upgrade Service offered by Andy at Ecommerce Templates and I must say he delivered a proffesional and effective website for the measly price of £378. This included the premium software and the labour required to complete the task. Having approached many companies to gather a number of quotes this service was by far the best option and having had many years of satisfactory support it was ano brainer. Thank you Ecommerce Templates (especially Andy).

Ecommerce Templates is the biggest scum company around. You go to buy there software and you'll find out that its nothing but the biggest bunch of garbage you ever spend $200 on. Just like the other reviews says, the more time you put into this software the more they hold you hostage. Want support, be prepared to folk over nearly $100 just to get a "yes, no, or you have to hire a developer". Every single time they make a change they strip out features that you need. Want them back? Sure pay $200 more to a 3rd party developer to get it back. And lets talk about support. You think that you shell out cash for support you'd get a phone number, no way they hide behind a forum where I've seen first hand in seeing people's inquiries go unanswered for months on end. This company will purposely lie, delete evidence that catching them in the act. If you contact a developer from this company, your 1 amounst hundreds that again if you want anything done you have to bow down to them. Buying Ecommerce Templates is the biggest mistake we've ever made, the second we found out that other better software packages were around we should of got ridden of them.

Worse piece of software I've ever used to develop a website. Limited in everything EcommerceTemplates.com is still lost back in the 90s. Switched over to WooCommerce since I can get a handful of developers to reply to custom jobs in a mater of 12 hours. EcommerceTemplates, Good Luck trying to find one..no one wants to touch this software is what our experience comes down to. It lacks everything you need to run a modern website. From what we see that there's a release every 30 seconds because there's a problem here, then there's a problem there. In the middle of updating 3 more websites that we've told our clients to ditch this worthless outdated software, oh and not to mention you have pay $60 plus dollars for support, where WooCommerce they have load of people that have become experts (semi) just by using it. Hands down we've known we made the right decision to trash our copy of EcommerceTemplates and switch to woocommerce.

Ecommerce Templates Will hold your site hostage for the smallest of questions. Their MOTO is basically pay us to get a yes or no answer. Developers will not answer questions and leave it blank for months at a time and Ecommerce Templaes knows about it and does nothing. First if you want a simple question answered, they refuse to answer it. They say oh you have to pay us $70 just to get a response in the forum. You say something, they have their jackles gang up on you and purposely contradict everything you say. There's no way of getting any type of support unless you folk over $70. Then when you do, they give you a BS answer, saying oh that's complicated, oh we're doing it in a next revision (which takes them years), or hire a developer. Then when you ask one of their 2 developers a question, it gets unanswered for months on end, leaving you stranded and held hostage by them. You go to complain what they do, they delete your account and all your posts because they don't want to be found out on what they do. They remove modules from every single update because they are too lazy to put the fixes into it. You cant take credit card orders that you want to process manual anymore because they refuse to pay for PCI. So what they do, they hand if off to one their developers that if you want that simple module, you have to folk over just as much money as you paid for this worthless program. If you paid thousands for a version for customization, and you upgrade kiss that money good buy and you have to start over. Their moron response is that if you want the code back go through every single file every single line of code and do a cut and paste, with no guarantee that it would work. Are you a programmer? no your a seller. So once again another idiotic solution offered by these people that their only direction is to suck as much money out of you for their worthless outdated software. In all honesty, stay away from this nickle and dime company. Go with WooCommerce, they are 1000x bigger than these fools and have hundreds of developers to help you immediately vs only 2 Ecommerce Templates have and both are not in the United States. The biggest mistake we made was putting up with ETC. REPLY TO ECOMMERCE TEMPLATES : Oh boy what lies upon lies. First they admit that YEAH YOU DO HAVE TO PAY for their crappy support. 2nd your developers are non existant. 3rd you refuse to reply and answer questions from PAID customers who have your software. You hold everyone hostage. When you pay because you have no choice they give you one word answers. The fact that we've been held hostage for years because of you and have not been able to do anything with our website because of you and your developers is the reason why we're leaving permently. Your vultures gang up on other sellers and importantly, you purposely delete all evidence when someone posts a negative review about you cons! REPLY TO THE REPLY. Lets add liars to the review of Ecommerce Templates. Oh its a complete lie, because they deleted every single post from their support forum regarding everything we said. So lets add deceptive business practices to the list. The fact that you refuse to answer questions unless people pay for for it is a joke! You purposely deleted every single forum post to cover up your lies! In addition, not only are we saying it, others have said the same thing. You go on and on and spread lies because you just want people to buy your low grade software, lead them into a false sense of security, then become trapped! If non of this was true then we'd have no reason to leave this negative review. The fact that we had enough of being held hostage from your company, refusing to answer yes and no response, the fact that you purposely deleted posts to cover up any accusations (and you know you did!) it just proof of how shady of a company you are. You'll do anything to have the truth removed from a site.

We've been with Ecommerce Templates for 10+ years and their templates and support could not be better. Their templates are updated frequently to stay current with security and SEO needs, plus adding tons of additional features. I have never had an after-sale problem that was not handled quickly and by a support person that really cares. This is SO rare these days and I treasure my relationship with ECT and would never even consider going with another company for my webstore needs.
