The bag was great and I am happy with it. HOWEVER I also ordered a Luggage Tag and as of this writing it is 18 days after the order was confirmed and I only have the response below. My impression is that they want to sell the bag and they sell other accessories, however their importance is not. As I said the bag is great the service is pitiful. Dear, (I guess they forgot my name) Thank you for contacting us. Please note that the Connected Luggage Tag will be shipped separately from our eBags office and not from our warehouse. Hence, this will take some more time to deliver the Tag to your address. We appreciate your time and patience. If you have any further questions, or require additional information, please feel free to contact us. You may reply to this e-mail or call our toll-free phone number: 1-800-820-6126. Thank you for visiting eBags.com! Dominic Customer Success Specialist

Frank I apologize that you have not received your eBags Connected Luggage Tag. I have requested that the Tag be reshipped to your address. Please allow 7-10 business days for the replacement to arrive via USPS.

Ordered a men's toiletry bag in the color of gray. The bag arrived in the wrong color (brown). I contacted ebags and they instructed me to return the bag and upon receipt, they would ship out the correct color. They assured me the warehouse would be contacted to assure they would send the correct color. After they received my bag I was notified the correct color bag was shipped. When I received the replacement bag 10 days later....the color was INCORRECT AGAIN ! Once again I contacted ebags customer service and they apologized AGAIN! I told them I wanted my money refunded immediately. They said once they received my second incorrect shipment, they would refund my money. Several days passed and they offered to take $15.00 off the price of the incorrect color. I reluctantly agreed to their offer. I doubt I would ever deal with this company again, as I have read other reviews with customers experiencing similar problems with receiving wrong items and dealing with poor customer service.

I apologize that the item you'd received was not as expected. I have confirmed that we did ship the correct item in the correct color. The color ordered of Cromwell Grey is a greyish brown stained leather. If you are not happy with the item, we can still assist you with a return for a full refund. If you wish to return the item, please contact us directly at 1-800-820-6126 and we will assist with the return process.

I would recommend this backpack with caveat. I am a college student and the primary purpose for the purchase of this backpack was for (Fall 2016 semester) school and travel. I bought this in mid-September (2016) and have only carried two books and two notebooks (equivalent to about 10 lbs.) in it all semester long. As I was pulling out my computer, I noticed that the stitching on the binding's seam on one of the straps has started to rip. I HAVEN'T EVEN TAKEN IT ON A TRIP YET!!! First of all, I do love this backpack. BUT, I do not love the guarantee/warranty on this. I contacted eBags. They in turn advised me to contact Travelpro directly. (The warranty says the bag will be repaired first.) SO WHY DOESN'T eBAGS DO ANYTHING? THEY PAWN IT OFF ON TRAVELPRO. Honestly, on a student budget, you're going to repair a bag that has a defect in manufacturing? I'm not particularly thrilled with spending ($150) for a backpack that's "supposed to" last. I read the reviews and saw that this brand had good quality reviews. (MAYBE I SHOULD HAVE READ THESE REVIEWS ON EBAGS FIRST?) Perhaps it's also my mistake to have thought that since flight crews use this brand that it would be the same durable quality. Who knows. I'm just really disappointed and upset that this may be repaired. It should be replaced in my opinion. BUT eBAGS WANTS ME TO CONTACT TRAVELPRO. Sounds like they want nothing to do with it since they got their money. I have yet to contact Travelpro and see what they say...will call eBags again first though. This is BS.

Ebags has a reward points system, in which you earn at least 5% back in Ebags cash for each purchase, and the rewards are available after 30 days of the transaction as per their FAQ. That is actually a lie - they can postpone posting your rewards indefinitely so that you cannot use them in conjunction with their Black Friday sales or any such other deals, having to pay their inflated prices when the rewards (finally, if at all) become available! Their CS is another level of nightmare - they'll open tickets, but tickets will have no identifier, and each CSR will say the same spiel ("will be resolved in 24-48 hours"), again and again, till you simply give up!

I paid full price for a replica during a sale. The customer service are nice on the phone and helpful. But because they are a drop-ship company (which I did not know until I researched it being a problem for other consumers) I realized, there's different merchants/vendors out there selling these knock offs and fake replicas as the real thing. I purchased two of the same bag "Fjallraven Kanken" from this company, and received them on the same day. One quality was very soft and poor, it felt used and appeared used inside. I just didn't understand how this could be possible. I have been trying to contact the regular company about it but no answer, so I just have to go with the comparison I made with my authentic bag. I'm frustrated and hurt to have received a fake/replica bag from what I thought would be a reputable company. I should just start buying from the company themselves - the problem was the color being sold out. So I decided "hey why not buy this at ebags" but yep. Never again. If you don't know if the products being sent to your consumers are authentic or real, that's a big problem. The market is flooded with second-hand or fake replicas of bags nowadays. Anything more than $50 seems to mean copies exists. I hope ebags look into this problem before people start noticing --- I hope people start checking their products! Very sad.

Very unimpressed by this retailer. I recently purchased the Orion 3PC Hardside Expandable Spinner Luggage Set by Traveler's Club from eBags for my husband from ebags. After 3 uses, a wheel broke off, the zipper had broken and the lining had broken. eBags made me chase the retailer down 3 times (who was awful and never responded by phone or email), and then finally stepped in to give me a credit and a shot at ordering another bag. Not the way to do business, at least not successfully. If I extend my trust (and my money) to you as a retailer, do me a favor and return that trust.

Ebags has always been a place with free return shipping. I used to choose them over other websites (even if another website was a little cheaper sometimes) because with them I was able to order without fear. I knew if I didn't like the item, I could just send it back, no risk. Well, they suddenly changed this policy with no notice. Now they charge 4.95 per item for returns. For a store that has always offered free return shipping, I feel like they should have called attention to the change at SOME point during the order process.. or maybe they could have sent an email to existing customers telling us about the change. But instead, they seem to have gone out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to become aware of this policy change. The place on the website that used to say "Free returns" now says "Easy returns" in the same font. I did not notice this. I didn't think to check their return policy because I have ordered from them many times before and I thought I already knew the return policy. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is that customer service waived the fee as a "one time exception" after I emailed them in a panic, realizing that they now charged for returns. I appreciate their willingness to help me. But they made it clear it was a one-time exception, and I'm still upset at how they secretly changed a policy that affects existing customers much more than new customers -- existing customers are less likely to look at the return policy when they have no reason to expect it to have changed. Now I have no reason to order from ebags over any other web store. If I'm going to be paying return shipping anyway for something that doesn't work out, I might as well order the things from amazon, who are often cheaper anyway.
