My wife and I worked with Alex to plan out trip to St. Petersburg from Helsinki. Alex had the important correct information and he made calls to get us a Deluxe room on the ferry. Guests with a Deluxe room get on and off the ferry first thing which is a big deal when there are 100's of anxious people in line! The hotel in St. Petersburg was the best hotel of the entire trip. It would easily be categorized as a four star hotel in the U.S. The tour guide , Anastasia, was excellent in that she was a walking historian about the life of the Czar's and took great pride in sharing her knowledge. The food on the ferry was average but Anastasia took us to a stroganoff place in St. Petersburg that was better than the original Stroganoff Restaurant. She even obtained ballet tickets for us to Swan Lake at the Alexandrinsky Theater; not easy to do in the summer! Lee

Now that I'm back home where I can use a real computer I'd like to thank you for the upgrade on my St. Petersburg tour. It made so many things easier and/or more comfortable, including a larger cabin and complimentary meals onboard as well as priority disembarkation. I also appreciate that you and/or your contacts in the city knew that I would clear Russian passport control in St. Petersburg way before the rest of the group because of my "commodore" status and had a private car and guide waiting for me for the first morning. The hotel in St. Petersburg, which was very nice to begin with, upgraded my room to a suite, so things were very luxurious there.They sent a lovely tray with cake, tea and a birthday card for my birthday on June 22 - a sad day in the city's history. I will never have trouble remembering when the siege of Leningrad began in the Second World War. I do think that the tour operator should have given more consideration to the horrendous traffic in the city and the enormous number of tourists there in high season when scheduling.

This was a wonderful tour. We loved every part of it. Masha, in particular, was a real treasure. She was extremely knowledgeable and great company. Also, she was flexible when we needed it, and made our visit smooth as silk.

My son and I recently returned August 15 2018 from a trip to Moscow and St. Petersburg Arranged by east west tours and It was a fantastic experience. We Do not know Russian but English was spoken at all the hotels and restaurants. The tour guides and Drivers were very informative and punctual. The country was beautiful from red square museums To the castles in St. Petersburg The 4 seasons hotel in both locations had superior service Ausra And alex of east west were extremely helpful with the visa process and selecting itinerary and I highly recommend them and experiencing the Russian experience Eleanor and Steven

From the greeting at the Moscow Airport by our tour guide, Marina, to the last good-bye from Elena at the St. Petersburg airport, all went extremely well. Our only hiccup was not knowing who was taking us to Suzdal but that was easily resolved. Every entry to museums, palaces and venues was eased by the knowledgeable guides. Our extra tour to Kizhi Island was amazing and the guest house was perfect as our room overlooked the lake. Food in any of the restaurants or personal homes was plentiful and delicious. Hotels were indeed 5 star. Had we known we could request a view room on a high floor, we would have done that and will remember to ask in the future. All drivers were polite and took care to be safe, yet efficient in time travel. Since this was our first experience with your firm and private tours, we both feel fortunate we were able to go with a first-rate company.

Loved our tour -- hotels were centrally located and tour guides were informative & experienced. Saw so much of the Estonia, Latvia & Lithuania. So glad that we booked this tour with East West Tours. If you wish to see the real Baltic countries, you must book the longer 15 day tours -- spending just one or two days in the capitals are not sufficient. We even added more days to explore on our own. OVERALL FANTASTIC TOUR!!

We took their St. Petersburg visa free cruise from Stockholm through Helsinki to St. Petersburg. We were impressed with the cruise line (great food) and the tour of St. Petersburg was first rate. We had a small group tour and Maria (Masha) was an incredibly knowledgable guide. She grew up in St. Petersburg and had many insights into the city and it's history. We were able to visit Pushkin, Catherine's Palace and Petershof as well as many historic sites in the city. St. Petersburg is a beautiful city and everyone should see it.
