Dear Marilyn: Why rate our 5 Star earplugs with just 2 Stars if you are afraid to use them?????? I've been wearing them for fourteen years, every day, with great success. For most adult women, the earplug is too large for their ear canal, and we suggest that one pinches off about a third and inserts just two thirds of the earplug. The instruction with regards to removal wasn't meant as a "warning", it was meant as a helpful suggestion. If you will follow the instructions on the instruction card that came with your order, you will realize that we have sent you a magnificent earplug. Dear Grainger: You've got the BEST! BUT, you don't know how to use this ear plug! It's not Foam and it doesn't expand. It's made from natural Beeswax and when inserted correctly, it will seal your ear and block out that snoring. Please read the instruction card that came with your order and please read and follow the instructions in this reply, and you will then see why almost all the testimonials on our website page and from Trustpilot are so positive. 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and mouldable and ready to insert, it doesn’t matter what shape it is; round, flat , long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push the ear plug FIRMLY, & FLATTEN it, (IN and AGAINST) your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL). IMPORTANT: If it doesn’t seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & SEALING the ear canals; now listen; you’ll hear very little or most likely no (snoring) sound at all. It even gets better each time you wear them. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Grainger, we'll be with you (all the way) until you get them to work perfectly for you.
