Dear David: On the CONTRARY!!! These are the BEST ear plugs EVER MADE !!! There is a video on our website on inserting and an instruction card that came with your order. Re: Her Hair: the reason the ear plugs got involved with Mrs H hair is because she didn't insert or flatten the ear plug enough, and it was protruding outward from the ear too far. Re: comfort: They are soft and moldable; and known to be the most comfortable ear plug ever made. Possibly the ear plug inserted as is, was too large for her ear canal. Most women pinch off about 1/3rd and insert a smaller size. Re: noise block out: You have the HIGHEST BLOCKING ear plug in the world, but it will only work when they are inserted correctly and SEALING the ear canal David, have Mrs. Heyman follow these directions (( exactly )) and you will both change you mind to the positive about this wonderful ultra-high blocking ear plug. 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 15 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. If you are going to pinch off to make a smaller ear plug, then now is the time. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!) If it doesn't SEAL immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will SEAL well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & SEALING the ear canals, you’ll notice a big improvement. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. David, please keep me informed. Dear Frank: Yes, we too agree that we make the BEST highest blocking ear plug in existence, but being (all natural), (non allergenic) and (soft and moldable), your waking up with sore ears do not seem to add up. In fact, we always receive the opposite reports of so much comfort, that customers often tell us they don't even realize they are wearing an ear plug. Frank, the only possibility that occurs to me is that the ear plug is still a bit too large for your ear canal. You may have to remove just a little more for comfort. Please keep me informed.
