bad quality
I bought a lock from Eagle Creek because I thought the brand was known for its high quality and durability. However, after contacting customer service, I was told that it is normal for the colour of the markings on the dial to fade with use. So, am I supposed to not use the lock in order to prevent the markings from fading? That seems rather contradictory for a product that is supposed to be durable and designed for regular use. The translated response from eagle creek: The color wear on the dials of your lock is unfortunately a normal sign of wear and tear caused by frequent use, friction, and contact with other surfaces. Since this is due to natural material fatigue and not a manufacturing or material defect, this damage is not covered by our warranty, which only covers manufacturing and material defects.
