First off, Must read all of this.
First off, this site would let you rate 1 star, The stimulus couldn't be more confusing. The verbiage is not plain simple separate. Like did you receive any checks? should we request a pay history Okay, yes? The response: it appears only one payment was sent shall we adjust all the years (amend) These will clear up all confusion While the IRS Fed holds all checks till forms are correct. If you don't do it correctly, they could care less. GFY they say, after confusing the entire world...

Please understand, we are a tax software provider and not part of the IRS. With that said, I am sorry if you found the stimulus information (verbiage) provided by the IRS to be confusing. Essentially, if you did not receive either the first or second Economic Impact Payment, and you are eligible, you should be able to claim it on your 2020 tax return. If you did not receive the third Economic Impact Payment, and you are eligible, you should be able to claim it on your 2021 tax return. I hope this helps to clarify things for you.
