We DO NOT advertise assistance with EIN numbers. This is NOT a service that E-file.com currently or has ever offered. This individual is confused about the website they visited. Hopefully, they will check their confirmation emails/credit card statements and move this review to the correct place. **ABOUT THIS REVIEW** TrustPilot does not verify that reviews are from customers. I am very sorry for the confusion with this. These were not "random charges", rather, it looks like you were not eligible for our free software due to the distributions that you received according to your 1099-R. Now, the distribution code on your 1099-R required that a 5329 and Schedule 2 was filed with your tax return. The IRS required additional tax on that early distribution and these forms are only available with our Premium software which costs $49.99. I apologize for the confusion with this but your filing situation was not eligible to use our free software.

Even though you made $50,000 in income, you could still owe taxes if you under-withheld during the year. We requested information from you so that we could help determine what caused this, however, you did not respond to our requests. Without looking at your filing specifically, the most likely cause is either under-withholding or incorrectly entering your tax information.

We do not direct users to this website. It sounds like you may be confusing us with the IRS.gov website. IRS.gov has a “how to pay with a credit card” webpage here- https://www.irs.gov/payments/pay-your-taxes-by-debit-or-credit-card that lists Pay1040. I’m sorry you had a poor experience with this company, but we have no relationship with Pay1040 and we do not direct users to their site. **ABOUT THIS REVIEW** TrustPilot does not verify that reviews are from customers. I am very sorry for the trouble you've had with this. It sounds like you were attempting to print the final accepted return which is not available in the MyAccount page until after the IRS processes the return and sends back the acknowledgement. However, our paid users can always print a copy of the return that they are preparing to review it by using the Summary/Print tool. I believe this is what you visited and where you were prompted to pay for your software. After doing this, it appears that you may have visited the My Account page to obtain a copy of the accepted return, this copy would not be available until the IRS has accepted it. I understand the confusion with this and we apologize for it. It appears that your return has now been accepted so you may print it out as you were attempting. A support specialist has reached out to you to provide further assistance if it is needed.
