We got an appointment right away with a vet who was attentive and knowledgeable by video call, who ordered an appropriate prescription available by express mail order and payment plan. Everything was complete within a couple hours, from the comfort of my home, including comparing online vet services, signing up for membership, receiving tech assistance, filling out forms, making an appointment, having the video exam and ordering the prescriptions. The whole process was easy and efficient, and I liked our vet. The membership covers 5 pets and has already payed for itself with the first visit.

In this pet-parent's moment of need, Dutch Pet's failed to deliver. After paying for this service I set up an Appointment because my 8.5 year old dog was suddenly having mobility issues concerning a lack of strength in his right rear leg. During the appointment the Vet indicated that my dog needed a prescription for anti-inflammatory and she also agreed to give me a recommendation for a hip&joint supplement. Regarding the anti-inflammatory, the Vet asked me which medications my dog was taking. I gave her the full name and dosages for the 2 meds my pup was currently taking. She did not mention that there would be any issue with prescribing the anti-inflammatory, based upon the medications my dog was taking. She advised that I would receive the prescription and the name of a supplement which would help with my dog's rear leg weakness in a couple of hours. However, I later received an email from the Vet rescinding the promised anti-inflammatory prescription. Her email purported to suggest that she could not prescribe the anti-inflammatory until I had obtained a blood test from my local veterinarian. This was a complete reversal from our conversation online. Frankly, it seemed dishonest and I felt like I was getting punked. Attached to the email, however, was an $80 invoice for a hip & joint supplement that they we're going to sell me. Their price for a month's supply of the supplement was just $12 dollars less than the price I paid to join the service ($92). When I replied that the supplement was available off the shelf at Walmart at a much more reasonable price, I was ignored. Despite my response they continued to bombard me via email and text with the supplement invoice, telling me to order and pay for the supplement. I believe that the reason the price to join the service is so cheap is because they plan to scalp you with a huge mark-up on supplements and drug prescriptions. The bottom line is that Dutch Pet's bark is much bigger than its bite - that is, they promise more than they can deliver. My advice to people thinking of joining the service-- DON'T DO IT..! Save your money for a real veterinarian who can actually help you and your pet.

Easy thorough and always leaves me and my babies feeling positive

Dutch was so responsive to my needs! A couple years ago my fiancée and I acquired a German Sheppard/Rottweiler mix, from a friend who could no longer keep him. Her only options were to ask friends and family to take him, or she was going to have to bring him to a shelter. Yea, I wasn’t going to let that happen- even though we were not in the best living situation (due to an upstairs neighbor with severe mental health issues) and we were planning to buy a house within the next few months. Suffice it to say, we ended up buying a home, but it was a rushed situation (needing to escape a deranged neighbor who was literally terrorizing the neighborhood- I mean beating his dogs, showing up with knives to local business, ripping our mailboxes off- all without consequence- the cops wouldn’t do anything, nor animal control, you know, pets are property… fml) ANYWAY- due to these things and needing 15 grand in cash to close on our house, we hadn’t found a new vet for our four legged family member. As seasons changed, we noticed he was itching pretty frequently, and no amount of topical creams or washes was working. I saw an ad for Dutch, and decided to give it a try, in hopes they could help. And they did! The next afternoon I had a zoom call with Dr. Irene Maresca, who understood my concerns about potential allergies, and the cost of $450 dollar flea medications. She tailored a treatment plan to our pup, and after fees, taxes and shipping (and a 20% off code for flea meds) I have 3 prescriptions on their way for around $110! And it only took 10 minutes! Totally worth it to know my fur baby won’t be itching soon. These meds will hold us over just long enough to establish him at an in person vet, to get current bloodwork and a check up, and then I’m sure I’ll be back for other minor issues that don’t need immediate care! Highly recommend Dutch! Thank you to all the vets who are making this possible!

Finding Dutch was indeed a great thing for me and my fur baby. I do not drive so getting my pet to the vet was extremely difficult. Asking for vet assistance and getting a same day appointment was wonderful, and the price is very affordable.
