I was unsure about such a large financial transaction with a third party company that would supposedly handle everything including registration and plates eliminating my need to go to the DMV. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised. They were very responsive to my email inquiries and phone calls (Even though their phone number was a little tricky to find). The whole process was seamless and even faster than I thought it would be. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to others!

The stated streamlined service was a long and drawn out failure. The buyer of my vehicle chose to use the Caramel Secure Purchase option through eBay. This service was promoted as being streamlined and easy for sellers & buyers, but the reality was anything but, especially considering this is their core integrated service offering. The core issue was the extraordinary waste of time followed by the eventual failure of the transaction. I accepted a bid for my vehicle on October 3rd. For nearly three weeks, I waited while the process supposedly moved forward. It wasn't until October 23rd—a full 20 days later—that Caramel finally informed me the deal "can't be done." This period represents a massive, non-recoverable waste of time based on what turned out to be false assurances. Adding to the frustration was an unexpected financial issue: at one point, I was asked to pay for a $500 miscalculation that occurred on their side of the valuation. While I genuinely wanted this service to work and appreciate the concept, my experience was a frustrating failure and a huge waste of time. Based on the severe delay, the lack of follow-through, and the financial error, I cannot recommend Caramel.
