This is for the Muriells Inlet SC HOA First services. Aleeya reed, Is A excellent asset to this firm. She’s knowledgeable pleasant has great communication skills. I am living in a new development that DR Horton built. Because he is still building, we cannot have a board, which means the developer is our board. First services is the go-between, Aleeya definitely is trying to answer the questions and concerns that residents here have Regarding following the HOA guidelines, rules and policies it’s been a year for me anyway, And of course, we want the community to stay safe and neighbors taking care of the homes. She gets the 5- STAR, DR Horton has some great people working for him, but he just can’t build then walk away from the people that have purchased with no concerns about our concerns. We had a seamless closing today. We did a punch list one month ahead of closing so everything could be addressed prior to closing. All of our communications were respondrd to in a timely manner. All items were addressed as promised. Christian the superintendent was very professional. Crystal, the sales agent was equally professional. We have had no issues with DR Horton at all. The home is a quality build. We have a beautiful home in the Lakes, an unincorporated area of MB that is really more like Murrells Inlet as it butts up to MI. We will have a f/u walk through in 14 days with Christian, then up to a year for any little thing that may come up that we will submit through the DR Horton website. Large items are warrantied for 10 years. I'm sorry, but some of these reviews are so ridiculous. Problems arise with subcontractors and DR Horton doesn't always have control over employees outside of their organization. All they can do is stop using them and locate others who do the same type of work to get the process complete for the future owner. Some people need to educate themselves on the trades and the level of coordination that goes into getting a home built. If they get behind in one phase, it's a huge chain reaction on the entire build out. So many things can happen, weather, financing falling through, inability to get products ordered, ordering something that comes in busted or some crappy subcontractor you have to part ways with, waiting on inspectors etc. BTW, no new house is perfect, that includes track or custom builds. Resale homes can be even worse, depending on the age of the home and how it was maintained and whatever jackleg people came in and possibly worked on the home. Purchasing a home new or resale is not for the faint of heart. They all come with the share of their problems. Honest errors and oversights happen, people are human. Negligence, being intentional and avoidance are all a different scenario and 100% we have not seen any of that with DR Horton. Busy, yes, blowing people off, no. Quality homes, yes. Do they have to contend with shady subs at times, of course. Keep it in perspective people.

My husband and I moved to Tennessee 11 months ago and had to look for a house to purchase. We had a great realtor who took us through everything. Once we choose a home in Somerville , TN, the builder, Uncle Rob, took us step by step and showed us EVERYTHING about the house. He gave us a chance to ask questions and answered everything to a tee! (I still have the video's to refer to!) Uncle Rob was professional and very understanding. Rob made SURE we understood that if there was a problem to submit the complaint paperwork asap! So far our house has been wonderful and our neighborhood is awesome! Uncle Rob even , still, lets us call if we have a question. Many builders will blow ya off after you purchase but not Uncle Rob..... D R Horton is lucky to have him!!! Carole Weaver

I bought a new home from DR Horton almost 2 years ago and decided to do so instead of an older one that I was looking at. My husband and I thought in buying a new home, we wouldn't have any major problems for a few years anyway. Well, it didn't turn out that way. We ended up having one problem after another, which caused us to have to move out of our home more than once to fix, repair and restore it. As disruptive and upsetting as this all was to contend with, DR Horton did everything possible to take care of us and our home, while they diligently and carefully repaired and corrected anything that was not exactly right with the house. Their supervisor, Jennifer took all these problems personally and worked with us to build the confidence we needed to Know that our home would not just be fixed, but better than before. I certainly didn't like having the problems, but I am more than happy to be back in the home I love and the problems are behind me. There can always be problems in life. It is what we do about them that really counts. DR Horton did the right thing and would not stop until everything was done just that way!

I'm a current owner of a DR Horton home and I've owned not one DR Horton home, not two DR Horton homes, but *three* DR Horton homes. And they are excellent - great floorplans/layout for one - in my current home I've been constantly impressed at the sight lines (and where they're purposely missing - like preventing viewing into the master suite from the main area) and just the overall thought and consideration that went into designing and building the house. I recommend DR Horton!

I have worked with DR Horton and they are excellent to work with. Maren Deaver and Kimbrough Kendall are very knowledgeable and know there product. I highly recommend purchasing a home from DR Horton!

Dear DR Horton Management Team, Our walk through for the home was very informal as the Superintendent is very detailed in explaining the overall operations of the home. During the handover, he noted several items in the home that would be corrected or completed due to weather permitting. Such as the exterior painting of the trim around the garage doors and the front main door. Adjustments with the SOD would be also corrected due to the storm water drainage inspection from the municipality. He also helped in adjusting in the home and made some minor repairs during our punch lists. Furthermore, DR Horton sales representative helped us throughout the overall experience in purchasing a home, as he explained the expectations and steps that will be taken including gaining our trust as this was our first time in purchasing a home along with it being a cash transaction.
