You might want to investigate better…
You might want to investigate better contractors in Florida, as well as your warranty department. To be honest, the model homes are gorgeous, however, I wish I would have gone with another builder. My home was rushed so many items were missed or have assed and when I submitted my work orders, I made sure to push them to my 1 year make so they could beat the warranty work. The home had so many leaks during last year's hurricanes, and the work was never done to fix the issues. All my interior doors have large gaps, and the carpet didn't even last a year but was told that is "normal wear and tear". My master bathroom shower is missing grout and the workers decided to take a shortcut and use a latex caulk, so I have yellow caulk in my master shower, and I must pay for it to be redone instead of the warranty. So many issues buyers please do more of your research.

Don't buy Dr. Horton
We went to Tallahassa with a day and half to find a house for our daughter who is taking a job in Jan after graduation. This was explained to the sales person who showed us a house that we loved for our daughter. She said no one else has put in a offer and it is first come first served. 6 pm we left she was to send the contract which she did but then she said oh there is going to be another offer. We will let you know who wins best offer, which we increased. Next morning we get a text now there is third offer and we will let you know by 5 pm. I called Mary our sales person and explained we are very stressed and finding this not proffessional or kind to all parties involved and please let us know as soon as possible because we have to drive five hours back home tonight. We had to call her at 5:30 and she said she is now opening her computer. Nothing until 6:30pm, I find this behavior unprofessional, mean and rude to other human beings! I told Mary and she sent an email stating that resales can wait two to three days to respond, so I imagine we should find ourselves lucky.

STAY CLEAR OF THIS BUILDER!
STAY CLEAR OF THIS BUILDER!!
In November of 2020, we built a brand new DR Horton home. Throughout the past 2.5 years, we have been battling high humidity, ranging from the high 60’s to low 70’s. As a result of the high humidity, we now have toxic mold that was found throughout the home, in almost every wall. We spent close to $8,300 in mold inspections and numerous builder defects were found throughout the home, such as unsealed ducts and insufficient insulation. Our home has such high, toxic levels of mold, that it was deemed uninhabitable and we had to leave the premises. We not only lost all of our furniture and contents due to mycotoxins from the mold, but our health was also affected. After DR Horton refused to acknowledge our concerns about the situation, we were forced to sell the home to an investor and became upside down on our mortgage. We simply could not afford to remediate the significant damages, on top of having to pay our mortgage and rent on a safe place to live, being our home was uninhabitable. After weeks of not hearing from them and selling our home, I began leaving complaints and reviews on the internet, to warn others of their terrible homes and business practices. In order to cover theirselves, they quickly reached out to us, suddenly wanting to “inspect” the home, after weeks of no communication - but it was already too late. They offered ZERO remorse for the damage and havoc they caused.
We lost everything, at the hands of DR Horton. Don’t make the same mistake we did, by putting your hard earned money and trust into this company.

Please Please Please do not buy a DR…
Please Please Please do not buy a DR Horton home. The company will give you a lot of incentives towards closing cost because they can afford to. All my neighbors are complaining that their houses are trash. I bought a home in the Genessee neighborhood in Newnan Georgia in 2019 and been plagued with water leaks in the Uponor Pex Pipes that were installed. Uponor pipe company has multiple class action lawsuits against them and so does DR Horton. DRH continues to use this company knowing that the pipes are faulty. Do your homework on both companies before buying a home. “Everything that glitters is not gold”

Horrible
Horrible, horrible, horrible….. I never write reviews, but this is this is one of the biggest regrets I’ve made. My house was built in 2021, new appliances, but the problem is they installed my water heater wrong. It should have failed coding. My water don’t even have a pan, a faulty control valve. Now I’m stuck with replacing a water heater and they refuse to assist.

I’m 100% disabled vet
I’m 100% disabled vet. I closed on my house 2 weeks ago. I still don’t have a valid address so I can’t get mail. The VA sends me my medication so now I can’t get my meds! This is a medical emergency! My home only has shutters on 2 of my 5 windows. They had patched holes but still haven’t completed painting my house! They have told me two different times they would have someone out the same day and no one showed. My lawn guy showed me a small sink hole in my back yard today. They (DR Horton) said it was because THEY over watered but it’s only in one part by my foundation. I sent a video to them. Worse company ever!

DR Horton simply does not stand behind…
DR Horton simply does not stand behind their product, or their workmanship. They simply passed me along to the sub-contractor who did the work as a means of resolving my issue. They have their patented response to any "warranty" issues. Don't count on them giving a damn about any home issues you have past closing.
I have a problem that is clearly workmanship related, but they only give the line about my home being out of warranty as I closed 2.5 years ago.
I would not buy another DR Horton home!
