Super convenient and inexpensive
I used Dr. B after experiencing symptoms of a UTI (and confirming with a test strip from the drug store as it had been a long time since I’d had a UTI). I tried this service as it was only $15, and as it was late afternoon on a Friday my only other option for same-day help (which I was pretty desperate for) would be an urgent care visit. Although I have insurance, it had a high deductible and that would have cost around $300. The $15 won’t count against my deductible, but I rarely meet it anyway so it doesn’t matter. The process was simple and seems like it screened out anything that would have been a more serious case. I was glad to not have to video chat because I felt & looked like crap. There was an identity verification process that compared my picture on my ID to my actual face via the camera, I hope the AI wasn’t judging me. After answering a few more questions, I was offered a prescription for a recommended antibiotic. I accepted the recommendation, though there were additional antibiotic choices if you have a preference or know what works in your particular case. Once everything was signed, I paid the $15 fee and was able to see the progress of my request on the dashboard. From the time I logged on to the time my prescription was sent to my local pharmacy was just a little over an hour, and I was feeling nearly 99% better by the time I woke up the next morning and 100% better by the end of that day. I hope I never have another UTI again, but if I do, I will definitely use this service.
