Done With Debt does not purchase or own consumer debt, own collection agencies, collect debts, control client funds, or negotiate and settle debts. Our role is to educate consumers about available debt-relief options, help determine whether a program may be appropriate for their circumstances, assist with enrollment, and provide support. The potential impact on credit is also not hidden from clients. Before enrollment is completed, there are multiple disclosures, recorded acknowledgments, and welcome calls explaining what participation entails. Clients are specifically informed that their credit can be negatively affected and that the process may feel worse before it gets better. These risks are also disclosed on our website. We also want to clarify the statement that thousands of dollars were paid to Done With Debt. Done With Debt does not receive or control a client's monthly program deposits. Those funds are not being paid to or held by our company. Most importantly, Verify is not Done With Debt, is not another name for Done With Debt, and is not owned or controlled by Done With Debt. Verify is a completely separate, independent third-party company that took over the servicing of this file years back. This individual's file has not been serviced by Done With Debt for years. Questions regarding subsequent payments, account balances, credit reporting, settlement activity, program timelines, or other servicing decisions should therefore be addressed directly with Verify, the company responsible for servicing the file during the period being described. We understand that debt relief can be a difficult and lengthy process, and it is not necessarily the right solution for everyone. However, the allegation that Done With Debt secretly owns a client's debt or the collection companies pursuing that debt is simply false and fundamentally misrepresents our company and our role. We remain available to review the records relating to our involvement and clarify anything regarding the original enrollment. For concerns about what occurred after the file was transferred, Verify is the appropriate company to contact.

We take reviews like this seriously, which is why we reviewed the recorded call in its entirety before responding. Unfortunately, the description provided here does not accurately reflect the interaction we heard. From the beginning of the call, the conversation was confrontational, and our representative remained professional and as courteous as possible while attempting to understand your questions and what you were looking for. We also understand that many people who contact us are dealing with significant financial stress. They may be frustrated with creditors, overwhelmed by their circumstances, or simply having a difficult day. We understand that, and our team is trained to approach those conversations with patience and empathy. That was the approach our representative took during this call. We know we cannot please everyone, and sometimes a conversation simply does not go well despite our best efforts. However, we also believe it is important to stand behind our employees when our review of a recorded interaction does not support the characterization being made publicly. For many clients, this part of the process can feel difficult before the long-term benefits begin to take shape, and we never want to minimize that emotional toll. We do want to clarify a few important points for accuracy. Debt-relief programs are structured as long-term solutions and are generally designed to progress over approximately 48–60 months, not within the first several months. At only 9 months into the process, your program is still in the earlier stages, and accounts are typically resolved strategically over time rather than all at once. It is normal for some accounts to be addressed before others depending on creditor behavior, balances, and negotiation timing. We also want to clarify that the approximately $1,000 monthly amount referenced in your review is not paid to Done With Debt. Those funds are deposited into your dedicated program account to support future settlements and program-related activity over the course of the plan. Done With Debt does not collect or hold client funds. We genuinely empathize with how stressful this stage can feel, especially when waiting for additional accounts to be resolved. You did not respond, and we have no record of you in our system. Without any identifying details, we cannot verify that you are or ever were a client of Done With Debt. To be clear: Done With Debt is not a scam. We never charge clients any fees. We never touch client funds. We do not negotiate debts. All program servicing is handled by the largest and most reputable debt relief provider in the country. Every legitimate client receives full disclosures, written agreements, and ongoing communication. If someone feels confused or overwhelmed, our team is always available to explain the process and provide support. Your review uses language that suggests this may be a targeted attempt to harm our reputation rather than an actual customer experience.
