I specifically booked an Infiniti QX55 for a month and confirmed delivery for a crucial meeting on Saturday morning between 9:00 and 10:00 a.m. Despite their assurances, the car didn’t arrive on time, and I received no updates from them. After repeatedly calling to check on the status, I was finally told they would send an Audi A6 instead – a substitution I neither requested nor approved. This company’s disregard for honoring agreements and their failure to communicate proactively show a lack of customer focus and reliability. I expected professionalism but received neither the car I booked nor the service I was promised. If you’re looking for a rental company that values its customers and fulfills its commitments, I would advise looking elsewhere.

Dollar Rent A Car UAE is an appalling joke of a company. My experience of a monthly rental just went from bad to worse. I reserved a car for a 1 x month period. The car was delivered to our home. The price was reasonable. All good so far, but that's where it stopped being OK. The car was not in a good condition mechanically, and the stench of dampness from inside the vehicle suggested it had been underwater in the great floods of Dubai earlier this year. There were many warning lights on the dashboard including the engine warning light. After much discussion and resistance from Dollar over the following days, they eventually agreed to change the car. Car No.2 was another vehicle exactly the same as the first. I was relieved when I entered the car for the first time as there was no stale stench this time. However, during the first journey it quickly become apparent that this car was no safer than the original. When accelerating (automatic gearbox), the car would shudder violently and splutter and felt like the engine was going to cut-out or explode at any moment. This was incredibly dangerous, especially on the motorway when the car suddenly started juddering inexplicably. My kids were terrified. I raised another complaint and after more than a week Dollar eventually (having been prompted on several occasions) responded. They said that they had no other cars in the same category so if I wanted to change the car I would have to pay for the upgrade myself. Of course, I disagreed with this as they had not been able to fulfill their commitment to me under the original agreement. Again, after a huge amount of resistance, they eventually agreed to replace the car. The third car (now in week 3 of the month rental) was better and fine for the rest of our rental period. A few days before the end of the rental I asked if I could extend the rental by 1 x week. No response. A day later I made the same request again. No response. On the third day I received 2 x invoices from Dollar for the additional week (no communication accepting the extended period ever came). One was for the equivalent of 2 weeks' rental, the other for more than the entire month's rental! I contacted customer services. No response. I then phoned customer services and was told that the rental price for the additional week would be prorated from the monthly rental cost. Great. I informed the sales assistant that I would not be extending the rental at the end of the week and that they could come and collect the car any time that suited them. This was (supposedly) noted. When pick-up day arrived I was in a business meeting and a Dollar representative repeatedly called me. As soon as I didn't pick-up, they immediately called again, and again, and again, and again. The ignorance in just calling back repeatedly is disrespectful and incredibly rude. Thank you Stalin (his real name!) for continually disturbing me during a meeting. Eventually 2 x guys arrived to check the car and take it back. I was asked to sign the end of agreement paperwork, which I did. They then gave me the final invoice which included 1 x additional day's rental as I had not asked for the car to be picked-up prior to 09:45. Apparently this clause is in the small print, even though I had told the sales person 2 x days earlier that I would not be extending and that they could pick-up the car whenever it suited them. They put be on the phone to their line manager who was belligerent, rude, and repeatedly spoke over me, shouting at me when I was still talking to him. I had to walk away as I was so incensed. So, as they keep a huge 'block' on your credit card when you make the initial booking, they have deducted the additional days rental from my card knowing full-well that I did not want or need this day. This is criminal and I will NEVER use Dollar again. They are a joke of a company and trade on deceit and lies. And their managerial team are absolutely appalling. Just look at the ratings for Dollar here. As a company you're only ever as good as your Management team. Shame on you Dollar. You have stolen money from me and you know that there is absolutely nothing I can do about it.

They are charging so much for security deposit for 1 day rental. This is pure BS to be honest be careful with dealing with this car rental and they also didn’t state full terms and conditions upon reservation which is misleading to customers

Honestly I was happy to be customer of them until today, but they supported crime staff of their employee instead of asking apologies from customer, dear future customer, be aware of this company while you are providing your details like Passport, Emirates ID and bank card details. Because in the same time they do not keep your details confidential and spread easily, Because their employees (delivery personal) they may use your details while they are returning car if there is any accident by them they gave your details, however you finish your contract with them. You can easily receive fine without knowing which car and where happened, to identify this you need to go three places dubai police then traffic department, it means you need seperate time for this, as i was serious i did evrything to know clear details thanks for Dubai traffic police people they serviced very well, found delivery guy, after my agreement closed and he did accident and put my license number, even police called them, they are not serious for this behavior. after this situation then i can clear my license. Then I emailed them why they do like this, instead of asking apologies, they agian cheated it is not from us, you may take from others, see how their attitude for customer service, yyou can see easily they supportive for this delivery guy behavior. in the beginning I thought it is fault of delivery guy, but after their email from dollar customer care, you understand they are supportive for their employees criminal behavior. who guarantees they may use your confidential details for their favor. Also, before i did not give attention they are charging salik, withour proof, now i asked can you provide where i have passed they can not. that's why be serious once you work on with them.

Alert 🚨🚨 Highway robbery This was an absolute scam happened I’ll never ever recommend anyone DOLLAR RENT A CAR This was happened last month I send official mail to discontinue my monthly rent a car service and team agreed and send official mail I was informed by the team to send driver to take the car back from my end But they didn’t come or intended to avoid my calls After 5 days they send invoice for the whole month payment I refused and call customer service to sort out After several mail conversion finally they decided not to deduct my payment and taken back the car But yesterday I was notified by the FAB bank that the amount has been deducted from my account without my permission And that too 1600 It’s really cheap trick that you guys used Don’t ever do it to any customers

Ne prenez jamais cette compagnie, il nous ont charger des frais supplémentaires. Nous avons payer le double et des frais d'assurance et dommage quand nous avions déjà acheter l'assurance dommage a 135,00 US. Quand nous arrivons sur place pour aller chercher le véhicule le monsieur nous demande de signer le contrat déjà reçu en ligne mais ne mentionne jamais des frais supplémentaires donc surprise une location qui etait supposer me couter 761$ US ma couter 1601$ US et quand tu les appel il envoie un document que nous signons à l'arriver avec la mention incomplète et nous devons payer quand même. Je vous suggere fortement de vous diriger vers un autre entreprises qui n'est pas Dollard, Rental Car ou Hertz. Ils sont tout affilier ensemble et font la même arnaque.

Be very careful renting a car with them. They have a very bad practice of making deductions from your credit card without your authorization. So they keep your credit card details, yet they have taken a deposit. I found them dodgy, unsafe and bad communication. Read every fine print in the contract they provide you, ensure you ask questions because they will misinform you.
