I can only agree with the bad reviews ... not a sinlge person at AUH airport when returning the car - had to find the "rental office" .. they then claimed I returned my car at 3:22 pm and charged me extra for returning late ... my flight left at 2:30 pm and boarding was at 1:45 pm ... no resolution by customer service ... a nightmare.

Worst car rental company in Dubai. The staff are unprofessional with a very bad attitude. I have been living in Dubai for over 20 years and rented cars many times, but this is the first and last time I will ever deal with Dollar. I don’t understand how they are still operating, as their service damages the reputation of Dubai. They are only chasing clients for money. At the beginning, they give many promises, but once they finalize the deal and take the payment, all those promises disappear. I strongly do not recommend anyone to trust this company or rent a car from them.

I’ve had two cars with dollar for a while because I got a decent rate. Dolllar UAE and their other name Zabeel rental, provide without doubt, the worst customer service in the UAE. They don’t respond to issues, they try to add extra charges every month, they don’t send clear breakdowns even when asked numerous times and they take ages to sort out the cars when they break down. The managers are nowhere to be seen and they all hide behind WhatsApp and emails with zero human interaction. The senior management must have no idea what they are doing.

If there was a 0 star I’d put right away !! Zero customer service, I rented a car for two months, I started having an issue with battery and engine couldn’t turn on, when I requested to come and check the car, it took them too long, they don’t respond, and they don’t even care about you ! Avoid this company at all cost

They will drain your AED 1,000 deposit with unjustified fines, such as alleged overspeeding, even when there's no evidence or official ticket in the system.

Extremely dangerous experience. I rented a car from this company today, and it nearly cost me my life. As I was driving, I immediately noticed something was wrong — the car was shaking and moving back and forth. Later, I saw smoke coming from the back of the vehicle. I had to stop at a petrol station, where they informed me that there was a serious coolant issue and a major leakage. I was told that if I had driven just two more minutes, the car could have exploded. This level of negligence is unacceptable. It’s clear that this car had not been properly maintained or inspected before being handed over to a customer. Renting out a car in this condition is beyond irresponsible — it’s dangerous. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Your safety is worth more. Stay away

Illegal charges applied by Dollar UAE. No option to provide evidence against the illegal car rental charges made as they completely shut you out. We wish we had read the reviews on Trust Pilot before doing business with Dollar UAE. We do not want anyone else to have their holiday ruined in the way ours was ruined, so if anyone knows the UAE court system please let us know. The Dubai and UAE government must act to protect consumers so they keep returning to the country.
