Dollar Rent A Car UAEReviews of dollaruae.com

Don’t ever rent from this company, I booked a car with them and they said they will deliver the car to my hotel, and I waited the whole day but they didnt, just took a copy of my passport & driving license!! thanks god they didnt charge my credit card!! DON’T BOOK with them

Rented a car from the Novotel Dollar location. The local comprehensive insurance excludes rim and windshield damage which was a surprise to me, so even though I purchased comprehensive coverage, before driving away I took pictures of everything including close ups of rims. At car return the same clerk told me there was a tire rim scratch! I drove carefully and so was confident there was not a scratch that I made. I showed him the picture of the scratch already there at pick up. He said you didn’t tell me at pickup so it’s your fault! I said I didn’t notice it at pickup!! But neither did you and it’s there in a picture! He then proceeded to wave the form where damage is marked in my face saying there’s nothing on it! There was no damage! At this point my little kid started crying. I said I didn’t see you circling or not circling things on your form — you did not show it to me. Then he said you should not be taking pictures and how do I know it’s not a picture you took later! I said when “comprehensive coverage” is not comprehensive, wouldn’t you take pictures??? Also, all the pictures are time stamped and dated in iPhone and I told you I was taking pictures. After a prolonged argument the clerk admitted that the scratch was pre-existing, and the second clerk also said it is not my fault — but they said they may still charge me if more scratches are on car because the car needs a “manual wash”. The car was dusty at drop off but not to an extent where you wouldn’t see damage! So at this point it all started to feel like some kind of a scam where they don’t sign off on car being damage free to claim it was damaged later. I could not stay for the wash because they scared my little kid who was now really freaking out. I was getting scared and upset as well but thankfully the driver who was picking us up spoke the language of the clerk and tried to explain the situation. We walked away and I’m about to call the Dollar company, my credit card company, and the Abu Dhabi tourist authorities. Is this a scam targeting women? I don’t know, but a horrible experience that mats the whole vacation. In conclusion, if you are a man and do decide to roll the dice on this amoral place, take pictures of car at pick up and drop off and good luck to you. If you are a woman please don’t go here at all.

They sent me a car with bold tyres. Car was delivered at night and unfortunately we only check the body. Then when I noticed and asked them to change the tyres, they sent me a bill for over 2000 AED asking me to pay for 2 tyres and shokers. They finally dropped the fees but the whole experience was a disaster. I would never rent from them nor would I recommend them.

I have been chasing for my money owed to me which went from 7 days to 21 days and nows it 30 days and still no sign, they love to send a standard email. I am reporting them to my bank now as well as the police.

worst car rental company in terms of transparency. If they do not collect the car, they charge you tripple price, then they start to collect money from your credit card 2 months later without any reasoning despite fully paid invoice. If you call, you will get undefined answers saying someone will call you back, no email, no proof, nor confirmation of your complaint. Weeks later, you call again with the same procedure. Such a frustrating company. never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It was terrible experience with Dollar rent company Dubai! Personal want you scam from the first day. If you booked online it’s way cheaper than they offer on the spot. They trying you upgrade hard. If you refuse, they will give you car with dents and scratches. Do your preparation, make photos all the time. Other ways you will pay extra for sure. Also , never leave your credit card , they will withdraw money for some City link, parking or any thing else, what was happened to me. On every complaint they took more and more money from my credit card. They just criminals. My suggestion, pay a bit more and go to other companies, it will be much cheaper on the end with better cars and service.

Went to book the car and agreed the price. Agreed insurance costs for two weeks. Then the total bill jumped. When queried we found Dollar were overcharging us. They agreed insurance was for full rental period but then they changed it to weekly to add more to the bill. Very upset and we had to have a full refund. Didn’t like the fact we were being robbed and defrauded by Dollar in Springs Dubai.
