Stay away from them
Stay away from this company. My dog was lost while he was in a pet sitter home and was hit by a car, his hip was dislocated and he needed surgery twice and physical therapy. Dogvacay just paid for the first surgery, they said the second one is not their responsibility. Of course, the second surgery was a direct result of the accident occurred during the vacay. Also I send a report from our Vet to DOGVACAy explaining everything and they are still saying that will not pay anything else. Now my dog will be lame the rest of his life and I have had to pay more than $5,000 in surgery and physical therapy.

Hi Barbara, We first of all just want to once again apologize for your experience. Please rest assured that our number one priority is the safety and health of all of those in our Community; our Hosts, Guests, and both their pups alike! In the extremely rare instance we receive a call regarding an incident/injury we assure that the case is immediately passed to one of our Trust & Safety specialist to handle. This is an entire team trained to handle any type of emergency in addition to any type of Veterinary related inquiries and to ensure the pups receive the care they need. I see you have a pending case with our Trust and Safety team about Shaggy. Our Trust and Safety team is available 24/7 if any issue arises on vacay and will work with you regarding our medical coverage. Our medical coverage is there to protect pets while on vacay when they are sick or injured as a direct result of the vacay; but doesn’t cover any pre-existing issues or undiagnosed illnesses. Best, DogVacay
