Like the title says I didn't think I was going to use this service when I first looked into it, I was just curious because a friend told me about it. Once I started reading through profiles I found some great people, with the most important part great user reviews. We actually went with someone who had no reviews but seemed like a great match for our dog. He is a high energy hunting dog, 18 month old Vizsla, who also sleeps in bed with us and is basically a human shadow. So he is really not for everyone, but this couple was active, they run along the same routes that my dog and I do and said they would be willing to have a dog in bed and on the couch. We met the day before I was going to drop him off, they seemed great and took really good care of our pup. So bottom line, the site is easy to use, profiles and reviews extremely helpful; and are set up with key information that will help you find a person whose living situation and lifestyle will match your dogs. I have recommended it to friends and would use it again.

Claire was exceptional. She came over several weeks in advance to me the dogs(and me)! I didn't feel like I was leaving them with a stranger and the dogs got to know her. Claire sent us pics and texts to let us know everything at home was going well and exercised the dogs more than I would have. I've already recommended your service and Claire to friends and am looking forward to using DogVacay again.

We seldom take a vacation, and lost our in-home dog sitter when we moved to a new city. A friend recommended DogVacay, and it was so easy to pick several possible homes for our dogs. After some back-and-forth email conversations we selected two homes for our dogs, had a "Meet and Greet", and agreed on our dogs' separate homes. While on vacation we received daily photos - and a video - to reassure us our more dependent was having a good time and NOT driving his sitter crazy. When - or if - we take another dog-free trip we'll contact our previous sitters. We've also recommended DogVacay to friends.

DogVacay became my dream come true when I had to travel for business in 2013 and didn't want to board my dog at a kennel. She's a pound pup and absolutely hated being stuck with a ton of other dogs and sleeping in a cage. After spending a ton of money on a kennel's VIP treatment and still not being satisfied with the service I discovered DogVacay. You can select exactly the type of care you want for your dog (I wanted her to stay at a house with no other dogs)! I was able to find a family with no other dogs on large property on a lake. The family emailed and texted me photos while I was away and my dog loved her "vacation". I cannot describe the peace of mind I felt knowing my dog was being cared for by a loving family in their home. And on top of everything else, DogVacay is TONS cheaper than any kennel! I paid only $20-$25/night, which is so much less than any VIP kennel. My title says is all...I LOVE DogVacay!!
