I've had some pretty bad experiences with dog-boarding places. I am SO happy for DogVacay which not only provides more trust-worthy dog-sitters but more affordable and more flexible (with scheduling) dog sitters. This is seriously a life saver for me. My senior dog and I are so happy with our sitters and I feel complete ease with going on vacation and leaving him with DogVacay sitters.

I was very hesitant to leave my dog anywhere because he has really bad separation anxiety but was getting very tired of not being able to go anywhere so I decided to try DogVacay on the recommendation of my son. They must really know how to pick the right people who truly love and know how to deal with dogs as ours had no problems after getting back home and didn't even seem anxious to leave the sitters. We had tried to leave him once in a pet hotel and after he came home he was literally sick for a week. It wasn't the pet hotel's fault, it was his own anxiety. Evidently, he needs more one on one time and he got it here. I won't hesitate to use DogVay or the sitters again!

The ap is easy to use and the quality of both caregivers we've used has been great! It's nice for our dog to be in a loving home with a yard to run around in versus a noisy kennel.

We have had an amazing experience with our dog staying with Rolf and Jennifer! They kept in touch, they sent pictures and updates and I felt so comfortable with our dog staying with them. I'd highly recommend this service!

Tracy is very caring and truly enjoys the dogs she is keeping. She spends time with them and has a facility that permits to dogs to play and get exercise. Our dog loves going the see Tracy and all her doggie friends.

This review is long overdue. Dogvacy has saved my bacon many times. I have used its services a few times now and I must say, I am beyond satisfied. Great staff and for the most part wonderful hosts- but this requires work no doubt, both from DV and the pet parents. We found a wonderful couple on DV who we have always used and recently found a secondary option as our fav couple weren't able to host our fur kid this time around. That said, if you are new to DV, keep your eyes and ears open. NOT all hosts are as wonderful as the ones we have partnered with. Long story short, while we were interviewing hosts for a recent vacay, we shortlisted someone who supposedly has a "flexible schedule" and this and that. We made the reservation and barely a few days after the vacation was booked, her text messages to us became pretty unpleasant to read - obnoxious to be precise. We also learned afterwards that the host worked full time and did not have a flexible schedule like she said she did - all this thru probing and asking different questions. In short, she gave us false information and to top it off, was very demanding, appeared bipolar (I am not kidding!) and not one bit flexible. Naturally, we didn't like what we saw and thankfully we were well within the cancellation period and were able to cancel our reservation; and Of course the cancellation conversation with this host did not go very well but hey, we kept our cool and were being professional thru out. DV assisted us with the cancellation and refund which happened within 48 hrs of the request which was great. The rep I spoke to also agreed that this particular host may need more training/education however I am not sure if they followed thru. At the end of the day, if you are new to DV, write down all your questions for your host and don't be afraid to ask them all. Also, make sure you are satisfied with the hosts' response. There is obviously no way to tell if someone is lying- we just got lucky but do listen to your instincts.

We have used 2 different hosts for our dog and been very pleased with both. We changed only because our first host no longer does it and we found another just as good and convenient. Drop off is easy, he gets to play with other dogs and is happy and healthy each time we pick him up. It.'s great leaving him with someone who's there all day instead of leaving him in a kennel with minimal interaction.

Absolutely the best service! I did not have to worry a bit about my dogs as I received constant updates as well as photos. Perfect & recommend them highly!
