Overall, the service and knowledge of the staff at DogVacay is exceptional. However, I have issue with the limits placed on being able to search places especially when living rurally and the distance from one area to another can be thirty, forty or even fifty miles. There should be no limit. As well, the service charge should be dropped. As the price listed should be the price charged. The host's pay 15% of their earnings to DV so the client should not have to pay an additional fee.The calendar needs to be revamped to show that on the day that dogs are leaving and new ones are coming, that one is not shown as being "booked". As well, the calendar shows clients showing a day early.

The DogVacay app's upgrades to search by name is very helpful! Also, the customer and host's phone support is phenomenal! However, there's one thing I've told several staff and I'm not sure the message was communicated/upchanneled because the stickers are still there! Haaaaaaa! ;) If I see the cupcake sticker one more time...I know this sounds silly, but it's true! The stickers need regular changing with each holiday and/or season. I've used emojis and a photo editor instead of using the VacayCam-it would just be nice to use DogVacay's materials.

I began hosting with DogVacay in August 2013 and it changed my life. The demand for an alternative to traditional kennels was high and my business was better than expected from the beginning. I retired early and plan on hosting as long as my health will allow. If you are considering becoming a host I would encourage you to try it. DogVacay is currently experimenting with some policies I'm not enthusiastic about but overall their host support has been better than average. If you are looking to board your dog I can't imagine a better place for your pup than with an experienced DogVacay host. Just be sure you scroll through the results because some of the best hosts won't be listed first.

I have been a part of Dogvacay for over a year now. I never would of thought it would of turned into such a business! I appreciate that whenever I have any questions, someone is there to answer it or direct me to the person that can best help me. The safety and trust team is amazing. Having had to handle a couple medical situations in the past with different vacays, they are available to walk you through the process of getting the medical attention needed, payment for the medical services and follow ups to make sure the vacay is on track to healing. It feels great to know I am not alone in any situation. My only recommendation for Dogvacay, is to allow us hosts to view the reviews on dogs we are going to be hosting. I have had a number of vacays I have called Dogvacay about, to get a history of the previous hosts experience. I have also called to look back at my reviews on a dog when it is a repeat, after a long length of time from it's last stay. I feel it would better prepare us hosts since the owners (you'd hope) may not be as open about their dogs previous visits with other Dogvacay hosts. All together it has been fun to experience all the breeds and personalities of each dog!

I really like DogVacay. They have always helped me whenever I have needed it. The only draw back is in the search. I have the most five star reviews have responded to every request. But I still come up second even third sometimes in the search which seems really unfair for having the most stays of anyone in the area with the most repeat guests.

Hello friends thank you for such a great opportunity however you stress that we offer discounts for our clients and I think it would be nice if dogvacay offer discounts for their host during the holidays perhaps reducing the 15% thank you for asking

I have had a great time doing this. I retired last year and needed a way to supplement my income. I have had excellent support when needed from the concereige service when needed, no issues with being paid, since I signed up with Paypal it's almost next day! The pups have been great company and the owners have been interesting and caring

DogVacay has been great to work with and have responded to my inquiries fairly quickly. I still think that the pickup and drop off times should be built into the site so it makes it easier for the hosts to know when to expect the dogs.
