I was dreading leaving my two morkies with someone else when I realized we couldn't take them with us on our trip. But I came across the dog vacay app and after browsing the sitters found someone I felt like I could trust. The dogs ended up loving their vacay and also go to play with the other dogs our sitter was watching and so it was especially fun. The whole process was super easy because of the app and it was easy to communicate with the sitter. The best part was payment through the app. Loved it and will use it every time I have to leave my pups behind!

Dog Vacay is a fantastic option when boarding a dog, especially over longer periods. It's a tool to connect people and dog owners should do their homework before boarding their dog. Talk to the people over the phone, be honest about your dogs quirks and make sure the hosts are comfortable. We've only had one questionable experience when a host wouldn't let us inside her home. It raised a red flag and we decided not to leave our pup there. Dog Vacay provided a full refund and we found another host through the service that was perfect. Point is, Dog Vacay is a tool to connect people. A fantastic tool that we use often. BUT owners need to be responsible and conduct due diligence just as they would in researching a kennel or even a baby sitter for a child.

We have never really left our two older schnauzers with anyone but family and close friends. I am supremely satisfied with the 2 dog watchers I've had watch after my dog. Each charged their own rate and had thing that they each did well. Doggy Vacay made it easy to get those people some business and made it easy for me to confidently drop my dog off while I was away.
