I love Dogvacay when it comes to helping me find quality pet care. I scored BIG TIME with our latest host, Kim! The only reason I didn't give you 5 Stars is because I REALLY DISLIKE booking a host in advance and having to pay for it at that time. I will not book far in advance for that reason

When i browse for sitters the names of the sitters service shows. Like "burbank dog sitters". But when i am messaging people their individual names show up. Like "jennifer". So when im in the app and looking back and forth at different sitters and their locations/rates and then back at the messages, they arent called the same thing. This is extremely confusing. Please have a standard name across the board for sitters. It would be much better if their name on their ad matches their messages. Thank you

We used Kristin and she was great. She obviously cares about the dogs she boards. The only complaint I have is I find the web site rather difficult to use. I had to call the toll free number and talk to a DogVacay rep to help me work through the problems I was having. But the rep was very helpful and I was able to finish what I needed to do on the web sit.

My First Choice was a 19 year old girl who was in college I figured I would use her because she wouldn't even money for college. However I got ahold of her she responded and asked the question if he was a friendly dog and then never responded again. As time was of the essence I could no longer give her more than two days to not respond back. I then found someone else not too far from where I live he was very friendly and will send pictures to me as I asked her to do so. She was upset that I did not call her when I was coming to pick up my dog because it got all of the other dogs riled up. Other than that I feel like my dog was very happy when I pick him up.

I have used this site twice and was very appreciative of the site because without it, we would have been lost. I do wish we had more options in our local area that are open to pet sitting extra large dogs so please spread the word!

Dogvacay is a great way to find a dog sitter especially if you've just moved or you don't know many people in the area yet. They vet a lot of the sitters and the reviews help you pick someone who is likely going to take good care of your pet. I did have an issue with one sitter that changed prices on me but that might be an isolated incident. I also ended up not using her because of that. It's also good in a pinch to find someone to watch your pet if you have to leave town in a rush.
