Not pleased that the caregiver allowed other people to touch my 4 day old puppies and she put the puppies on her carpet, that has had others dogs walk on.

The Dogvacy.com phone line customer service representatives are non-empathic, rude, and lack problem solving skills. They would rather lose a customer than try to find a resolution to problems. The response from several representatives was "that's just the way it is and you shouldn't have made an error." The website should not allow double booking, especially for new customers learning how to navigate the website looking for a sitter. This allows over charges to the customer and Dogvacy.com will not refund the double charge, even though your pet could not possibly be at more than one place at a time . Even though you paid for one sitter, they still charge you for the accidental double booking and will not back down. They refuse to allow you to speak with a supervisor or manager when trying to problem solve. Poor customer service.

My host had a catastrophic flooding in her home and had to cancel the night before my trip. Late that evening, she emailed me via DogVacay and DogVacay sent another email too. However, NO ONE called me to notify me that I needed to get another sitter. I did check in the morning just hours before I had to leave. When I called the sitter, she said that she was told that DogVacay would reach out to me since she was battling a flood. She would have called me but counted on DogVacay. When I called the company they tried to push it off on the sitter. My fiduciary relationship is with them. They also mentioned that it was late at night... precisely the problem. I had limited alternatives. Luckily, I found a friend to sit my dog. Someone reliable.

The dog sitter was fine. But your constant surveys and ads are driving me crazy. If I had realized what you would be subjecting me to, I never would have used your service. PLEASE take me off your mailing list.

The host was excellent. This review is for the company. It was impossible to get the necessary help a few times. One was in regards to the original payment and not knowing what was done using the web site hadn't worked. I wad do to leave in the morning and the people who answered the phone were only there to pass on a message. There was no guarantee I would be helped in time. Secondly I needed to pay the host for extra days and again there wad no way to accomplish that. I phoned with the same response except never heard back. So the host hasn't been paid. My daughter also tried to email. I believe she wad told I didn't have an account. I am also a host and caring for my first dog. I am not impressed by the business and am mot sure I can continue with this type of service or lack of.

This company is a nightmare! I dropped off a healthy dog to one of the people that this company recommends and a day later I was in emergency care at the vet as my dog was suffering from heat exhaustion. My dog nearly died while in the care of this person and it cost me hundreds of dollars to get him well. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. It has been a nightmare and a hassle.
