The DogVacay site/app is great! It was seamless, convenient, and I never had to worry about late/missed invoice from my provider as everything generated through the site and paid upfront. Everything was easy and worry free. However, it did take a long time and a lot of emails and inquiries to find a reliable provider. 80% of the providers I reached out to missed scheduled phone interviews, or didn't even bother with a courtesy reply that they were not interested/unable to provide services. It would be nice if the site was able to weed out unreliable providers like this. If you can't remember that you have a phone interview, I don't trust that you will be able to remember to take care of my dogs properly. That being said, we found a perfect match for our needs and couldn't be happier with the services they have provided thus far.

So far, our experience with dog vacay has been very positive. Our pup has had a great host, and we booked again through them. Additionally, we've communicated with other hosts, and while they're not always available to host when we need them, they've been very pleasant and it's been a seamless conversation. We live in the NYC metro area, and most people located close to us have been great, but we found that the further out in Northern NJ we got (in the hopes that our pup would have more outside space when we leave for extended period of times) the hosts got a bit flakey. One we had all but submitted the request, when we got cancelled on the meet and greet 4 hours prior, as well as being told that they couldn't watch Bailey 10 days later. We were able to secure another hosts, and we understand situations arise, but I've noted some hosts are certainly better than others at communicating and sticking to their schedules. Thank you so much for an excellent alternative to kennels for our pup!!

DogVacay enables you to place your dog in a homely environment while necessary. I highly recommend introductory visits to be sure everybody is comfortable with each other and the environment. Daily updates and pictures are most appreciated.

DogVacay has helped me out in some tight spots. Convenient, excellent hosts who went out of their way to help take care of my dog.

We have used this app once and have it scheduled 2x in the future. we will continue to use it unless we have a problem.

We had an emergent issue where our dog needed to be boarded ASAP, meaning immediately. Michelle was very responsive and offered to meet within a few hours of first contact. Our dog got along great with hers, and we were able to leave her knowing she'd be taken care of. We received updates and photos of our dog's "vacation". It was a fantastic experience.

I love how easy it is to find a sitter nearby that costs the same or less than boarding, with the added benefit of all the love and attention our dog gets. But sometimes I can't tell what it will be like for my dog. I've never had a problem, but I do with there were more reviews sometimes. And I wish the sitters could talk about their "parenting philosophy" with dogs. Ours needs a slightly firm hand, and it can be difficult to figure out which sitters are all love and treats and which ones will tell her no and make her walk next to them. But that's a small complaint for a site we love and will use again and again.

Thank god I found this site, was tired of paying expensive kennels. I love to travel n its inconvenient for my puppy. Site is amazing and easy to use,i have done 2 bookings so far and booked 2 in future. Keep doing the good work, it would be nice if you dont keep the trust fee even if I cancel within first 24 hours.
