I've used this service 2x and both times had a good experience with the people that watched my dog. The only thing that was weird is when I called the 1800 number one night. The person that answered and helped me seemed confused. The next day someone much more personable called to follow up on my request from the night before. Otherwise, really liked the website and will definitely use again.

I was able to identify the perfect option for dog sitting. The site helped to identify exactly the criteria I used for selection, and gave lots of options. An area for improvement : as a first time user with a first time host, we were both a little confused about exactly how things work - some of the information is buried in the terms and conditions and not addressed in the FAQ.

I was referred to DogVacay by a friend after our usual sitter was unavailable. Setting up an account and getting started was easy but it took a while to find a sitter that we meshed with. Most sitters responded quickly to requests/inquiries but a rare few took several days. Some sitters did not have their availability calendars set up so I was asking about a time their calendar said they were free but they were not and it was a waste of both our time. I do wish the service would screen sitters, as some that we met with should not be watching dogs in their home (kids teasing the dog, kids feeding the dog human food from the table, choking hazards on the floor, wire pieces on the ground in the yard). After looking around a bit, we have found the most wonderful sitters who are close by, convenient, flexible, friendly and have welcomed our dog into their pack. We even meet up with out sitters weekly for pack walks now! I have already booked with them 3 times in 2 months. I enjoy the ability to book and pay through the phone app, it's all so simple.

My dog Roo spent 9 days at Annabellle's residence. I was sent updates and pictures daily. It was Roo's first time away from her family for more than a day/overnight. She was obviously happy to see us, yet seeing her romping, playing, and having fun with her dog, she surly had a fun stay. By coincidence her dog was also a mini Aussie, so it was twice the fun. The grounds were big with lots of shade, they had a wading pool, and she was allowed in the house and on the furniture. I would not hesitate to book with Annabelle again.
