We were happy with this couple and feel that they take good care of our dog. He seemed happy to go back there the second time we left him. Our only concern is that we wonder if he was over fed. He borders on being overweight, and we have no way of knowing how much food he actually ate. There did not seem to be much left over when my husband went to pick him up.

Everything went well, no problems.

We have found 3 fabulous sitters through Dog Vacay. We have also encountered one unfortunate experience and one place that boarded on dog hoarding. So the main point is be sure to have a "meet and Greet" at the location where your per will be staying. Trust your instincts and you won't go wrong. We do think this is a valuable service and realize that the final decision is the pet owners responsibility. Go for it!

The reason I didn't give it five stars, was because my first reservation did not work out. The pet sitter didn't show up for the meet and greet, and I wasn't able to leave feedback either, which I feel others needed to know. My second reservation for the same week, turned out wonderful. The dogs were well taken care of and they had a nice big fenced yard to play in.

DogVacay was very helpful in finding my dog a place to stay while my family was on a a vacation. The information provided in the website was very helpful and there is a lot of choices that allows customer to choose the best dog sitter for my Chloe.

I've used DogVacay a few times now. I think the price is fair, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. I'm a big fan and will keep using the service. Using sitters with good reviews, I've been very impressed. I would only change one minor thing - I've had several instances when a dog sitter says on their page that they're available, and then they respond to my request saying that they're back at college for the year or out of town. That says to me that they're just not updating their statuses, which is a bit of a waste of prospective customers' time. Is there a way to move them down in the listings if they repeatedly list themselves as available when they aren't? I want to close my review by reiterating that I'm thrilled to have found this site. It's a total lifesaver, and it's a great opportunity for my dog to socialize!
