The DogAcademy was truly a rewarding experience! All personnel were true professionals. I highly recommend this company. Keep up the outstanding work. Thank you for everything you all did to help me with training. Jonathan Gomez

Great training material and videos! People here are always very supportive and answer all your questions! The graders are also highly experienced and gave me all the instructions whenever I needed it!

The company is available by phone and email. They are responsive to questions. You actually get to speak with a human. My dog is now trained and is an obedient service dog, but it is up to the owner to do the work. You will get instructions and a program from the company. You will have to send videos of your dog doing certain tasks that they require. They are a good source for general service dog information also.

This company charged me around $900 guaranteeing I would have an in person trainer. I had to follow up 3 times to finally get a trainer assigned. I only got 2 in-person training sessions and was told that my trainer could no longer help us due to her own personal issues. They told me they’d get us reassigned to a new trainer in 48 hours. I followed up 4 times in 2 weeks and then they said they weren’t able to re-assign me to another trainer because no one was close enough. The trainer I did work with was not very helpful and we’re still dealing with the same issues we had before we started this training program. The company is saying that each training session (which were around 30 mins each) is $120 and they cannot refund any part of that.

The training modules were easy to follow and informative. It's best to follow along with each step and training your dog along the way. Fortunately my dog is already a canine good citizen advanced and is trained in obedience. The new tasks we learned are to calm me by nudging, licking, or pressure when he senses my anxiety.

It was great at explaining what exactly I need to teach my ESA.

On Sunday, July 6th I spoke with Tom with Dog Academy regarding training of my dog to break her reactiveness as soon as possible. He stated they had a trainer within 3 miles of my address who would do in-person training beginning Thursday, July 10th. He stated that before the training session took place they would need to do a Zoom training evaluation on July 8th. I submitted payment to Tom over the phone in the amount of $1,795.00. During the Zoom evaluation the "trainer" stated that I should tie my dog to a tether inside my fenced yard and the small dogs, that my dog reacts to, should be trained...even though I told her the small dogs do not belong to me. She then went on to say that she was going to send me files with training information and would do another Zoom evaluation in 2 weeks before she would send out a trainer. This is in direct conflict with what their salesperson Tom had told me. Shortly after the Zoom meeting I called their office and let Julie know of the discrepancy and unhelpful information their trainer provided. Julie told me they would expedite getting a trainer out to me by Thursday July 10th and would call me back on Wednesday July 9th to confirm. I never received a call back on Wednesday so Thursday the 10th I called their office and spoke with Julie again and requested a refund. At this point Julie said they would issue a refund of $1,630 as I was responsible for paying their Zoom meeting trainer $165.00. I told her that was not acceptable as Tom had promised a trainer by Thursday and so did she, that they did not meet expectations and the Zoom trainer gave bad advice and if they had been upfront with me that they could not provide a trainer in a timely fashion I never would have signed on with them or sent them the original $1,795.00 payment. This seems like a bait and switch operation taking money from people and promising trainers which they do not actually have.

Well the first question or questions there may have been 1 or 2 I answered wrong because I kept loosing my screen, anyways this was very basic alot more basic than I thought it would be, we have been to basic training and all of this my dog all ready knows, she also knows turn around, and it is funny to watch a great dane slowly turn a big circle. But it is all about repetition and reward at the right time, not pushing or over doing. Now we are also working on wipe after drinking water, I know more info than you probably wanted. I do think that it is very important to for every dog owner to go to a basic training class with their dog.
