I purchased training from DogAcademy in June 2026. Due to summer travel, we were unable to begin the training until August 2026. We had our first session, but our dog was extremely hyper; therefore, no training took place. We planned to schedule our next session. However, our home flooded, and we had to postpone the training. In October, since our home is still out of commission, we decided to cancel the training, and I sought a full refund. DogAcademy provided me with $650 as a refund. They told me that I was beyond the 30-day window for a full refund. This entire experience has been a travesty. I would never recommend DogAcademy to anyone.

Hi Ray, We’re truly sorry to hear about the flooding in your home. That’s a difficult situation, and we understand how stressful it must be. We want to clarify a few details. When you purchased in June, you asked us to hold training until August 3rd, and we honored that request. Your first session took place on August 3rd, and your trainer received positive feedback afterward. After the flooding, you asked us to pause training through October, and we did. When you contacted us in October, the purchase was well past our 30-day refund window. Before discussing a refund, we offered to transfer your training to your pup’s new home or save it for a future dog. When neither option worked for you, our management team reviewed your case and approved a $650 partial refund as an exception to our policy, given your circumstances. We’re sorry the outcome wasn’t what you hoped for. We wish you and your family the best as you recover from the flood. — The Dog Academy Team
