T11 & T12 customer Called TiLite, researching replacement parts after I couldn’t find new style backrest hinge for 2019 ZRA manual wheelchair on their website (PDF parts breakdown). After speaking with them they refereed me to DME. After speaking with Dave, and providing him model, serial number etc. We were able to quickly get pricing for both hinges and hand push brakes. However he suggested that it would be ideal to follow up with my original vendor, to see if was still under warranty. So I followed his recommendation. Sadly my vendor didn’t do any digging (research) and only responded back with pricing. $50/ handbrake and $320/ hinge. Before calling them I already knew pricing on handbrakes were much cheaper at DME. Needless to say I quickly called Dave back at DME and asked to place an order with him, I was prepared to pay if I needed too. Dave told me that he would call me back as soon as he could gather information on backrest hinges. This was on a Friday and I figured I would get the call Monday morning, absolutely not. Dave called me back at 6pm Friday evening with good news. TiLite was warranting both (several issues with these new type) hinges with either replacement same type or older model type. I picked older model type because parts are available for older model type. New model type backrest hinge is sold as one piece, no replacement parts available. At $320+ each hinge for a 1 missing screw or 1 bent pin, I’ll get old model. The extra mile that Dave went for someone he doesn’t know, from a phone call. I was so very impressed. My hinges were delivered free of charge and my push brakes, I paid for a great reasonable price. Thank you Dave @ DME When your in a wheelchair, it is so important to be able to have it functional. Thank you again
