Buyer Beware
I ordered a salt cell with a three (3) year warranty. 14 months later it stop producing enough salt to sanitize my pool. I returned it for testing as Discount Salt Pool instructed. I paid for shipping both ways. The unit was returned several weeks later still showing the damaged cell plate/s inside. Their report said it was fine. After reinstalling the salt cell the chlorine level fell to negligible amounts being generated by this salt cell they had just tested. After a phone call to them explaining my situation, the representative hung up on me. I purchased another salt cell from what appeared to be a more reputable Company and my pool chlorination issue is resolved. I do not recommend Discount Salt Pool. They appear to not stand behind the products they sell. Rebuttal to Discount Salt Pool response: You have mistakenly mislabeled the salt cell as working. I have the water test to prove otherwise. I purchased another salt cell and it works perfectly and I have the water test to proof my original claim. The salt cell I purchased from Discount Salt Pool clearly shows damaged plate/s and is NOT producing the levels of chlorine associated with a t9 salt cell. It is clear by you have no plans to honor the warranty. I have already purchased a WORKING SALT CELL so there is no need for further excuses from you. As far as I am concerned this matter is no longer worth my time. I consider this a matter of ‘ Buyer beware’. Thanks

Greetings Frank, we are more than happy to continue to assist you with what might be causing depleted chlorine levels / high chlorine demand in your pool. We provided you documentation showing that your cell from 2024 was producing the full and normal amount of chlorine, and that no warning lights were occurring on the controller. We strongly recommend you don't through that working salt cell away, and we're happy to continue to assist you with many common water issues that can be causing what you are seeing.
