This is the worst service I have ever experienced
After ordering your service I was told I would receive Choice TV and Internet for $105. After signing up for Direct TV and having an account set up and going through all the paperwork bullcrap I come to find out you don't offer the services I was looking for before signing up for an account. I had to call the internet side to be told that you don't offer internet for my area even after the lady where I ordered the Tv and internet bundle said you did. This caused me to be charged for the service and cancel my account with Direct TV within 5 minutes of having it. I will never do business nor recommend you guys to anyone. Thanks for screwing over an Active duty service member who just wanted to enjoy some tv and internet services.

Absolute Worst Company on the market
DirecTV is a money-hungry company that will do anything to steal your hard-earned money through hidden fees and gimmicks. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT ever engage yourself in a contract with this terrible vendor, and I will tell you why.
To start off, I wasn't able to get internet service at my apartment complex without getting DirecTV. I could only get internet by purchasing TV from DirecTV and internet from AT&T as a bundle. If this isn't robbing people in blind day light, I don't know what is. It put a bad taste in my mouth from the very beginning.
My rate was $15 a month for the first year of signing with DirecTV, and after a year, they raised it to $49 a month. From the very beginning, I told them that I wouldn't be willing to pay $49 dollars a month for the basic service. They told me, "It's fine! After a year, you can call back and negotiate your rate back down to $15, don't worry." So not only are they thieves, they are liars, because this clearly did not prove to be true.
When I received the $49 dollar bill in the mail, I immediately called the customer service, which is the worst that I've ever dealt with. I was on the phone with them for 50 minutes-- it took 40 minutes of holding, listening to propaganda about how great the company is, to actually get someone on the phone. When I finally got connected to a customer service representative, they told me they could lower my rate down by $5 and that's the best they had. I asked them why they value new customers over existing loyal customers, who have been paying their bills on a regular basis. They then proceeded to tell me that they value all customers the same, yet, new customers get a $30 dollar discount, while existing customers are eligible for a $5 discount, and that's only if they call to complain. Interesting to see how much existing customers are 'valued.' I then asked to cancel my account, at which point, I got put on hold for another 15 minutes. When I got connected, the customer service rep told me that there was a disconnect behind what the company offered and what I wanted. He told me that I just had the basic TV, and directv didn't specialize in that. He told me that I was behind the times, which was probably why I was dissatisfied. Really not a great idea to insult one of your "valued" customers and someone who is trying to disconnect from your service. I am now stuck with paying a $220 disconnect fee, which, by the way, they didn't explicitly tell me about when I connected with them.
And you wonder why young people don't want to buy TV anymore. A word to the wise, DirecTV, if you want to maintain your market share amongst young people, lower your prices, or improve your service. You can't claim to offer great service, when your customers can't even watch TV when it rains or get in touch with a customer service rep without spending an hour on the phone holding.
You are not worth one single penny, and I will let all of my network of friends and colleagues know this. I hope you remember our conversation, as well as the many conversation like ours, when you are watching your business dwindle and asking yourself why.

Terrible company that will rip you off.
Promised me a $200 visa card for signing up and now refuse to pay it even though when I signed up they said I would receive it in 2 weeks......Installation was incomplete and had to get them to send equipment that I had to hook up in order for everything to work properly. Really dissatisfied with the company. Called their customer service and the supervisor who was named John, hung up on me. Do not sign up with these people.

Doesn't deserve a star. Don't waste your money and time
Giving one star because I can't go lower.
They flashed information in their website for special deals bundle (Tv + internet). Direct-tv's 220+ channels and internet up to 75mbps for ~ $63 (I have the screen-shot to prove). I called to order and was told that I'll have other special discount and my final monthly bill will be $62. After Direct-tv installed the TV, I found that it was a set-up to take all your information and give you whatever package they want to give you and it's usually the basic package with no internet. All you have to do is upgrade or pay $480 for early cancellation. Fortunately I recorded all the conversation and I'm now exploring further actions with my lawyer.
1 - They set me for a different package that the one I ordered,
2 - They never bother to set me your internet,
3- When I called the customer service, they basically hang up on me and asked me to call Direct-tv and att my self.
Please share the message and don't let people be trapped by this company

Worse then Comcast and Verizon!
put my package together as a new customer and everything went fine. I set my install for my move in date of July 1. I received an email from Direct Star with an install date of June 17. I called Directv they directed me to Direct Star (I didn't even know who they were). My first call to Direct Star was transferred back to Directv with no question or explanation from the woman that answered. I called back (because Directv already told me I had to talk to Direct Star) and spoke t a gentleman that informed me they can't book appointments further than 30 days and that I would have to call back. I asked to speak to a supervisor about how everything was wrong about my contact with Direct Star and after waiting I was told he could not come to the phone and while he could not guarantee he would call back he would give him my message. I asked his name and was told "Armondo". I asked for a last name and he said he can't tell me. I asked if they were Directv or another company, he told me they were another company. I asked if they were local to the area I was moving into and he said no they were national. I asked if he really thought telling me a first name of someone in a national company would mean anything when I contacted Directv. I was able to get him to tell me he was in the South Carolina office. So there you go… I will be on the phone with Time Warner and Fios to see what they have to offer and if they can treat customers like they actually care about the thousands of dollars I will spend on their service.

Beware of 2yr. contract
I ordered DIrectTV's Choice package about a year ago. The rep at the Costco where I signed up was great and convincing. Pricing was great and very competitive. My complaint is after the first year my bill literally doubled! I knew my discounts would drop off after the first year but the Choice package pricing also increased substantially without notice. The rep I spoke to on the phone said that in the fine print of the contract I signed, DirectTV could increase pricing on programming without notice, something they fail to mention when signing a contract! I am now stuck with DirectTV for another year and cannot wait till my contract is up and go with Verizon FIOS as my provider. At least I know what i will be paying for the duration of the contract! The second year of the contract is definitely not competitive with other providers.
